John popped over for an hour or so earlier today and we did our customary walk along the seafront. Hopefully he had better luck than me today as I suspect this may be the only one from the trip that I put up.

The one in copyright information is better for me :) maybe it's all about color...

Like the tones of this one, I mean really like them!
My eyes are drawn to the water droplet on the right.
I think this makes the image .

Love the water on the chain and the tones.
comment byAhamed at 05:34 AM (GMT) on 5 December, 2005
Nice tone throughout.
Also the sign is in stark contrast to how inviting the background is.

I like the one you have in color elsewhere, forgot where it was...

there, that one has a nice balance of colors, this one while has solid composition isn't as attractive to me.

I like this one more than the original "keep out". I like that you hint what it is that is not alowed, what we need to keep out of and the DOF makes you curious as to what's on the pier exactly. I want to know. I need to know!
Of course, you do have thouse images as well. Just need to dipp into the archive...

Interesting shot! But Keep out of where? The beach?
comment byDan at 09:33 AM (GMT) on 5 December, 2005
Nice composition, and I like the PP'ing. I like the chains swinging across the image, down the steps, pulls it all together.
Cool.

Are you trying to tell us something following John's comments about feedback? ;)
Joking (using the term loosely) aside, it's a lovely shot. As has been said, the tones are great.

Having just seen the coloured version for the first time, I am enjoying the clever tie-in between "KEEP OUT" and the message regarding copyright. Some commentors do not seem to get the point. Please tell me the concepts of Trespassing and of copyright Infringement were subtley intended and I am not just reading too much into a coincidence; I am enjoying my interpretation very much.
I am enjoying, too, the more forboding black and white image in which the sky and sea appear to be repeating the same message as the sign.
Well done!

This is wonderful!! I love how cold and dreary this picture looks. Maybe it's the mood I'm in but this is one of my favorites of yours!

Nice shot. Isn't this the same sign you have used on your copyright information page.
