It's been a while since I posted a picture of my wife or our son (Finley) so took a few pictures of them earlier this evening. It doesn't seem like two minutes since he was born, but he's four months old today.

Oh, and I may or may not put something up over the next few days as I don't currently have anything worth posting and am not sure how much time I'll have to take anything decent, so if I don't see you, have a great Christmas and I'll see you in a few days :-)

I am always impressed with the way you take pictures like this. I have bags of photos that i took when my kids were younger but they never looked like this or any of your other family shots. Your family album must be a sight to see. You have an eye for this sort of shot that i can only hope to emulate. Best wishes to you and your family over the festive period and all the best for the new year! - [Chuks]

You're a true master of portraits. I remember the first photos of Finley that you posted some months ago and it's amazing how grown up he is already. Just beautiful the way you captured the love between your wife and your son. Your love is alsovery present in this photo by the way you see them. Merry Christmas!

I love it as an image of a mother and child...but technically to me it feels (and looks) too blurred/soft. Still, a touching photo. :)

Thanks everyone, and Merry Christmas :-) I did take some pictures of the kids today, but none of them are worth putting up – perhaps I'll put something up tomorrow if I get anything worthwhile.

Anyway, Rhowan and Harmony are now asleep (it's just before 9pm here) and the other kids are going to bed soon, so I'm going to chill out with a glass of wine or two and prepare myself for the inevitably early start tomorrow. I expect that one or the other of the little ones will be up somewhere between 6 and 7am. It's not my favourite time of day, but it will be good to see them open their presents.

Very nice Dave and a very Happy Christmas to you and all the family. We'll enjoy the fact that Rebekah is only 17 months and doesn't really understand about the need to get up early! ;-)
