This is a shot of my nephew, Cameron, playing with Rhowan and Harmony at my sister's house. I got quite a lot of good shots of the kids playing with one another but this is probably the only one I'll put up here. The rest are ok, in a family album-ish way, but none of them struck me as particularly noteworthy other than this one.
On another matter: I'll be moving chromasia to its new host over the next two to five days (or thereabouts), so if things go a little flaky don't worry about it.

Dave, this is an amazing shot, considering ISO 100 and no flash. I like the tonal range of the B&W. Nice looking kids.

Clarence: oops, sorry, I messed up the EXIF data - I was using fill-flash. I'll correct the entry.

It is interesting to flick between this entry and the previous one. Viewing that one in isolation, although many people remark about the toning, since there is nothing to compare it with, it is not that noticable. Comparing that one with this really shows the difference.
Really nice shot Dave.
Hope Laura is not about!

is harmony the one on the right? she's one of the cutest kids i've ever seen. btw, this is my first post ever - though I'm a frequent visitor. I often come back more than once a day - cuz I appreciate your great photos. You helped inspire me to pick up a Canon 20d three days ago and wow. That camera is awesome! anyway, keep up the great work and I hope one day I can take great photos like you! l8rs, from Hawaii. :)

It's a bit late but merry Christmas to you. But I"ll be hard-headed and do it anyway: Merry Christmas! Am a little Asian girl, geographically spastic, Vietnamese by heritage, German by nationality, have a three year American trauma, London-lover for two years, now in Berlin for a year. Basically, you keep inspiring me and since it was Christmas just a couple of days ago I just wanted to send you a warm THANK YOU!
I just started taking pictures, am saving up for equipment and I really love it that you post all the info on your pictures. It's so helpful and gives me those "Aaaah, that's how it works"-Moments.
wish you all the best,
Lami

Fine shot, shame about the girl's face behind his shoulder which does compromise the shot slightly, but getting a 'perfect' shot of kids playing is next to impossible!
comment bybmoll at 10:55 AM (GMT) on 28 December, 2005
The softness of the background, their expressions, the light and whole situation (plus perfect desaturation) make the photo :) Portfolio it! :)

Super shot. I assume you bounced the flash given the proximity to the camera lens of your nephews face. Very nice.
