Ooohhh... this one is actually better than Batman!! I love the old and grumpy look of him and the smoke capturing the light! Or at least I think that’s what it is…
Brilliant!

Great portrait shot!
Amazing amount of detail and the processing on the image is "bob on".
Reminds me of my stag do in Amsterdam when all my mates (15 of them) arrived in a bar to meet me all dressed as Elvis, as they reckoned I looked like him, I have some pictures someplace of this event ;-)

This is an amazing shot! Definitely one of my favorites. You captured that smoke perfectly.

WOW WEEE this is very very excellent stuff. Amazing. I guess this is why you do a shot a day. Some days are bad. Others are good. Others are very very very good. Ace one.

Wow great capture, though with too much detaill in beard. It keeps my eye out of all picture.

Amazing amount of detail on Elvis, but I don't know about the smoke. Maybe the photo would have been even better if it was "tuned down" a bit?

I agree that this shot is amazing. I think it is one of your best. I love how you almost have to go searching through the smoke to find all of the detail that is present here. I really like how you have worked the color of the photo as well.

I like it..but it's very Draganesque, I don't know if you'll agree with that though!

HE'S ALIVE! I knew it was all a conspiracy to let him have quite retirement! There is nothing I can point at and say, "That's not him."
Fantastic light, detail, and subject. I think the swirling smoke is the coup de grace.

Nice one. Was the flash off-camera or just normal, straight flash? Really like the greenish tint and the understated lighting.
The only thing I can criticise is your timing because, for the first time ever, I've taken enough people shots recently to be able to post a portrait every day this week. But now, looking at my efforts, I suddenly don't feel like it anymore after seeing this. Ah well, onwards and upwards.

I guess he's not lookin' to bad for his age, he might want to consider giving up the pipe smoking, though. Could hurt his singing voice. This is a really cool shot, although I think the king has seen better days.

It's the lips.
The detail and funky texture on the lips is amazing.

This has to be one of my favorites, ever. I think the choice of crop was sensible, and the tones give it a real "las vegasy" feel to it. (curves?)
Did you have the guts to tell him that he looks nothing like Elvis?
Infact, are you even sure he was supposed to be Elvis??

awesome, great colours. Is this what happened to himafter he was abducted by aliens?
As promised, here's Elvis, enjoying his pipe on Blackpool's Central pier.

verry nice!
Holy smoke, er, batman.
Was this just an average everyday holiday maker type encounter, or did you know Elvis was in town?
Fun. Like it.
hehe elvis returns!
a very cool man.

that's sick!
Dave, you make a great Elvis! Who took the shot?
(Please don't dress up as Salma Hayek)
Ew, what a huge slimeball. Love it.

HAHAHAH!
AWESOME!
What a wondeful portrait. I love it!
Great as always
Much better than the batman one IMHO
(Batman you know I love you)
I love the processing... great colours and very dramatic with the smoke and all...
well hallo there elvis!
Elvis Lives!
That's just scary.

This is freakin' awesome, David. What sharpening technique did you use for this?
Incredible... And they made us believe Elvis was dead... :)
Hehe, looks like elvis in the later stages of his life :-)
Great shot, the smoke really adds to it a lot.
U-huh-huh - great shot.
Realy Good!
Really great shot! The smoke and the expression are just perfect!
Excellent!
kind of funny shot. elvis is still alive :) and the best thing is that he is kind of grosssse :)
I like this, you have captured something quirky and amusing here. I like the effect the smoke has to soften the image somewhat.
Excellent stuff.
Completely wonderful, David. An eyeful, a mindful. A very fine portrait.
Fantastic shot! I can almost smell the smoke.
Cool. Uh-uh!
(I'm trying hard not to imagine the white jumpsuit on this bloke......)
That's a good one! The King definitely beats Batman...
Haha more like the deposed Filipino president Estrada.
the smake is killer
great shot!!!
one of your best recent ones, I would say, he's gross but in a truly fascinating way
Love it. The smoke is a bit heavy but I guess it makes it kind of feel dreamy, which I like.
Thanks everyone, I was pleased with this one too.
Cool Face. The Smoke looks photoshopped. Is it? Just wonderin'
This one gives me a smile. GREAT!
