In the year 2179, Amsterdam's computerised Bicycle System, the artificial intelligence behind the city's answer to the then pressing global fuel crisis, became sentient. Within a matter of minutes the bicycles began to evolve, within hours they turned on their creators.
Now, a little less than a year later, the last battles are being fought ... and they absolutely will not stop. Ever.

LOL, funny introduction. Beautiful capture and PP. This shot confused the heck out of me, until I realised it was a water reflection shot turned on its side. It always intrigues me when for crop you put "kind of" or "minor".......

I really like the colors on this one, but the composition doesn't seem to work as well.... I keep turning my head sideways (your are officially a pain in my neck....just kidding)
great shot!

That´s great. I love this confusing shot. You´ve to look twice to get it. For me it´s much much better than yesterdays shot. I love this kind of photographs so much. For me the best shot of this week!
Jonathan: in this case "kind of" means it was originally shot in landscape mode, rotated into portrait mode, then the sky (now to the right of the bike) was stretched to put the shot back into a 3x2 landscape mode.
I do quite a lot of cycling - given the price of petrol / diesel at the moment, this sort of makes me feel like the bike is there, all ripped and torn and bedraggled, only to rise up, and herald in a bright new dawn, of people cycling down to the newsagent instead of getting in their car for a 2 minute drive. No really, it does, it's not me just using this wonderful photo as a chance to get on my soapbox...
Wonderfully confusing. I'd hate to go swimming at a beach where you find washed up bicycles, but I'd love to take a walk there with a camera. Super smooth blues you got working there.

Marvellous idea and so well executed and presented.
I'm guessing there is some sort of reference in your description...hmmm...I can't quite place it. I could keep trying, but I guess I will just terminate my efforts ;-) Fantastic image again!
Wow, very creative idea! It does look a bit threatening.

That's almost exactly how I saw it! I did see more of a buglike mechanical being maybe, but close enough. Fantastic shot! Really love the flip. (Reminds me of those model-partly-submerged-and-pic-flipped type of shots.) It's so stunning that only a few words of the highest order are available for expresson and I've used all I have access to.
Ah ha, now I like the crisp backdrop. Looks very studio. What I most like is the alteration to the perspective upon looking at your comparison. This definitely looks more intersting for that
Wonderful image! One of my favourites! Great work.

I have only just started visiting your blog. I have to say the standard you set is excellent, I love the variety and the quality leaps off the screen. This is not one of my favourites but is still well crafted, keep up the good work.
