Here's another daisy shot from yesterday, and I would write more, but I'm totally wiped out today. I think, having finally realised that Libby's going to be ok, that the events of this week are starting to catch up with me: I feel really tired, am probably getting a cold, and generally feel totally spaced out. I'll have an early night.

This is stunning--the white against the black is just beautiful. Now to take care of yourself. All the best to you and your family. Better days are ahead.
Wow, to get this from a point and shoot is stunning!!!
Best wishes to your family - take it easy.

I've never looked at a daisy that close! They always remind me of my crush at school doing "she loves me, she loves me not" - and then later as my boyfriend he told me it was me! Just thought I'd share.
Huh...I did the exact...well almost similar ....nah exact just different colour background but same shot as this....Great minds huh.....

Although the picture is very lovely. I'm really pleased that you intimate that Libby's health issues are under control. I currently have a dear friend who is suffering badly, I know how you feel. Kind regards Mal

I like looking at this. Something about the way the edges of the petals fade ...
Best wishes from Danville, Virginia, to your wife (health!), to you (energy!), and to all the girls -- oops -- children, that is. There's a boy now, right? We haven't seen as much of him.

It is unbeleivable that such a little camera can generate such amazing close ups! Sleep tight, Dave & hope Libby gets well very soon. Best wishes from Peru.
Hey Dave, thanks for still sharing your amazing shots with us in spite of the stress you've been in. All the best to Libby (get well soon!) but don't forget yourself and the kids, I'm sure it's a burden on all seven of you. So focus on your family first, then come back and share your shots again once you're better.

Very pretty... The flower has a very calming effect, perhaps a projection of your inner emotions? Anyway, take it easy and i'm sure everything will fall into place.

Very nice tones, and I love that dead centre composition. I'm not too keen on the vignetting effect around the bottom/bottom-right as it spoils the symmetry a bit.

I am a big fan of nature/macro shots, and was also surprized to see this on chromasia. i'm glad you posted it. Keep up the good work!
I´ll tried sometimes but I was never satisfied with the result. I still need more practice :-)

Wow.
Wow - very nice indeed. Proof that the camera is only the tool - it's the eye that makes the difference.

Great stuff.
Great background and nice soft lighting! An excellent photograph!
simple and perfect!
amazing
Just read about your wife's illness. Glad to hear she's feeling better. You all take care.
Wow!! I love it!
I think you should go through the archive or shoot some new shots if possible for a week of shots dedicated to: "Libby Week"!
Take a break man, you deserve it. Let the photoblog rest for a while so you can spend time with your wife.
Yesterday's is still my favorite, but this shot is spectacular!
