I've had one of those weeks where you get up on a Monday, there's a blur in the middle, then suddenly it's Friday evening and all you can remember is that the bits between the start and the finish were stressful and not much fun. Things were looking up this evening – curry, bottle of wine, crappy TV – but I've just been playing with the cat and it managed to get about the first quarter of an inch of one of its claw stuck in the end of my index finger ... which was painful. It's not been a great week.
Anyway, the net result of all this is that I've been scraping the chromasian barrel again, the inside of which is now totally devoid of content.
And yes, I did clone out the strings.

Is that a kite? Nice bright colors to it.
Hopefully you'll have a better week next week. I'm currently counting down the hours until I'm released from work for the weekend. Got an airshow to go to this weekend and I'm hoping to get some nice captures with my camera.

First miles, now you, soon we'll have hundreds of floating wireless objects in the photoblog world!
I'll go create a flickr group now to beat someone to it! :)
Anyway, hang in there man. We can tell you're not having a good time for sure.
A symbolic shot it capsulates how I'm feeling too ... a little tired and out of control...Your mood matches mine.. Bad, rainy weather here in Germany has not helped .. the improved weather today and time shooting in Bielefeld has lifted me .. A little sunshine goes a long way.
all the best.

Good fun!! Thanks for posting this one and making me smile. Miklos is obviously right: when I saw it I immediately realised I should have a go too. The result is here:

If this is an example of the "bottom of the chromasian barrel", then your barrel is like a chef's skillet with all those tasty bits left when all the great ingredients carmelize. This is a very nice deglacing, I'd say.

i like the composition, the colors and the feeling of this picture, but agree with ps about the sky, unless you ment them to jump into the world (looking from a cloud above and blue suggest ocean)

Now there is something you don't see every day. I really like this shot, mostly because of the colours but I find it quite funny as well!

Andrew: they were hanging from a pole, and good luck with the airshow.
miklos: lol. I prefer miles' attempt to mine ;-)
I like it, except sky, it's strange and unreal...

Should have kept the strings!
I like this image. I like the vibrancy and it is amusing.
I like much the composition and the color.
The curved line that defines the subjects guides the spectator to cross the image horizontally.
The background is superb, David.
Congratulations!

i would of left the kite strings intact, nice colours though.
There is something totally "glasnost" about the photo, must be the hats. It's good.
Thanks everyone.
:-), it's fun.
The kites will be up in blackpool again on the 8th and 9th July when its Blackpool airshow...
Heh amusing shot :-)
