I'm not entirely sure which wind farm this is (it may be the one under construction of the shore of Barrow-in-Furness) but it was taken on the same trip as yesterday's shot. Eric Kelley posted a similar shot a few days ago.
On another matter: thanks for all the birthday wishes on yesterday's entry :-)

BRILLIANT. I was just sitting here, minding my own business when I saw this picture. It took me completely by surprise, and it was all I could do but mutter a hushed, "Whoaa". Bravo.

A sunset or a seascape are always impressive. Getting them on 'film' is another thing. Getting the shot just right so that everything is in place, is a craft. And you just master it beautifully.

Great shot! I almost get the illusion that the windmills are way off in the distance and the base of them are below the horizon. Like there's a wall of water being held back from them. I like the depth of field, where the water up close goes out of focus. Nice job. :-)

Nice! You know it's funny, they've been having a debate in the US about whether to construct off-shore windfarms off the coast of Louisiana. One of the major arguments against it (besides birds getting caught in the blades) is that the farms will ruin the beauty of the coastline. While I can see where they're coming from, your shot makes me think it wouldn't be so bad... :)

Great tone, but I'm not so sure about the blur in the foreground.

I'm not sure whether this is just on my monitor or not (haven't had chance to calibrate it yet (its new :D))
but there seems to be a bit of a blotchy sky???
looks extremely surreal!

It's like a load of Mercedes' with extendable bonnet logos parked behind a giant slab of granite. No idea if that's a good or bad thing but now I want a car with an extendable bonnet logo. I feel like I'm missing out.

i love the alliteration, but i also enjoy that the repition isn't exactly the same. the windmills are different and aren't complete copies of each other.
I like the way you framed the image, with the windmills very close to the top, and also the tint, with suggest a sort of futuristic landscape (and also let the water seem almost metallic/freezed).
To be honest, I find the large out-of-focus area at the bottom of the image a little disturbing: my eyes are continuously attracted by it, may be also because hilights. Have you considered to crop it more, in order to reduce it? (even if you would lost the 2X1 ratio...)
Thanks for sharing your work.

I like this.
Three cheers for wind power! Down with oil companies!
Sorry, I get carried away. It's a very nice picture. I'm always tempted to tint warm instead of cool, but this makes me rethink that philosophy.
wonderful photo. The color is amazing, the texture is amazing. I love the wind generators in the back. Perfect shot.
Lovely simplistic image, and well processed...
Windmill, Windmill for the land. Turn forever hand in hand. :-) nICE! You have a best photos I´ve ever seen!
