If I'd processed this one before yesterday's, I would probably have put this one up instead (and may well not have bothered with yesterday's) as I much prefer it.

Yeah, looks a bit like a zebra. Perhaps a bit of yellow and some grain would make it look truely jaundiced.

I agree there, a bit of grain could add to this picture. Really cool, i love the lines of shadow and light, a brilliant abstract.

Yes, well, I was going to state the obvious on the animal front but that would be repetitive. I like the effect. Did you have to hold your breath for long on this?
Yes, my first though was that it was a zebra :-) But looking a bit closer made me realize what it was. Very unique photo.

I like this one, great rythim...

Yeah, I much prefer this one. Strange how there seem to be two different planes fighting for your eyes' attention - the fuzzy belly on one plane and the contours of the stripes on the other. That effect's totally lost in the colour version.
and yay for fuzzy bellies! a sensuous photo.

Very creative, David!
It's a different way of exploring the light and the human body that resulted in a very interesting work. :-)

I bet you that belly button collects lint better than the lint tray in my dryer.

Definitely much better than yesterday's pic. Black and white suits this kind of material very well.

Yeh it looks good in B & W this David, I like the line of dots running up the right hand side of the torso, nice light effect that.

Well, I had to go back to compare, and this one is by far much better! I can imagine that you would have to shoot quickly, as standing there in a partial state of undress with arms up and a camera pointed at your belly could begin to cause a case of the giggles that has the potential of getting out of control.
comment byJohn Washington at 05:38 PM (GMT) on 12 June, 2006
I agree - the B+W is more striking. Works well.

I really like the use of light in here. What is addional interesting is that the athmosphere is natural not like a studio shot. Well done, David !

It looks really like a zebra. I like the use of light and shadow. It´s so simple and the effect is that big.
