I did intend to be out and about today but woke up with either a stinking cold or hayfever or both and ended up falling asleep again just after lunch. By the time I woke up again the kids were getting home from school, Harmony needed fetching home from nursery, it was almost tea-time, the dog ate my homework, and so on.
Anyway, I didn't get out so it was back to the archives for this one.
To make things a bit more interesting though I thought I'd offer a free 9x6" print (of any of the shots on chromasia) to the first person who can:
a) identify what this is, AND;
b) either tell me exactly where it is and/or identify one of the two other shots on chromasia that (to a greater or lesser extent) contain the same object.
As usual John Washington is barred from entering as he was with me when this was taken ;-)
Update: Ains worked this one out about 15 minutes after I put it up. Clearly, next time, it will have to be much more difficult ;-)

I also think its part of stairs, possibly another angle from the shot Untitled #0015 posted on February 8 2006... that would be my best guess at the moment considering that it has similar tones and colouring.
mooch: yep, I thought it was a good idea too but had visions of a long and lengthy discussion. Next time it won't be so easy ;-) Oh, and ains hasn't decided yet.
Well, I'm certain that the next random image will probably end up going into extra time and then you losing on penalties... or soemthing as watchign England (not) play.
Good color(s)--and sharpness. The bokeh, however, is a little distracting, especially in the bottom center. This could've used a more clear focal point, but I understand that you're not feeling well and had to go through your archives.
Get well soon! (Please?)

Other than the others.
Good shot but I think there's missing something.
Greats from Antwerp.
I'm fond of that pattern on metal for some reason. I've no idea why but I've always liked it. I've tried to take shots of it myself but not managed anything as nice as this. Reckon I need to find some brightly-painted stairs around here. The worst thing about living in London is that you never have any excuses for not getting shots, apart from your own laziness.

Ok everyone... I've chosen! "Let me gather my thoughts" March 6, 2005.
I work for a non-profit childrens organization in Ontario, Canada and the whole office wanted me to choose one to put up in the front lobby, seeing as we can't afford to actually buy the photos... but I had to deny them and put this one up in my new home. Let me tell you that choosing hasn't been easy.
Thanks again! I can't wait for it to arrive...

Well, that lasted somewhat less time than I expected :-)
ains: let me know which print you're interested in and where to send it.
I was going to go with some part of Blackpool Tower, but I guess that was a little too obvious. Good work ains!
Untitled #0015 link for those interested.
...and I thought it is some sort of chocolate with nuts :-)
S**t too late ;-) - but next time I´ll be the first - I promise!
Even stainless steel can corrode.
...or a close-up of a fainted wedding ring :D
The background color goes with the subject very nicely. Nice choice of composition.
Yeah as said above.
Its the stairs you get in Factories/Industrial buildings, the same material (steel?) is used on small ramps and stuff.
Good pic
Oh, come one ains, tell us which image you plummed for. Please. Great idea though Dave.

I don't like this picture....

Good choice. I'm sure the folks at work will be disappointed! ;-) And you're right - choosing is not easy at chromasia!
I enjoyed this "game" - and agree how do begin to choose just one -
Thanks all (other than George ;-)
ains: good choice, that's one of my favourites too.
Fantastic macro and great tones. Congratulations !
Marvellous snap of ordinery things...really nice!
