I did think I might have to raid the ever-dwindling archive again today but Libby and I went for a short stroll this afternoon and I spotted this on the way home. It's been a while since I've done any reflection shots and I'm pleased with how this one turned out.

i love this one. For a start it's really open to interpretation. It's neither happy nor sad but both happy and sad, neither beautiful nor ugly but both beautiful and ugly. It's got an angel trumpeting in glory of the Holy, but also colours which are primitive and demonic. Such duality, while being perhaps over-reading an image on my part, fascinates me.

This is a well spotted composition. Great technique as always. The way the face of the angel have no reflexuion, makes it more celestial. :-)
Good spot, it works for me, especially with the black skin selected. It would make a great album cover (with some diligent cropping of course).

great picture, even though inanimate it really captures a mood. I thought initially it was one of the composition photos where you have overlaid two pictures, very clever, keep blogging
Great shot man.
This reminds me a whole lot of the character Delirium from the Sandman comic series. The sort of joy it shows with the mad rush of colours. It's beautiful.

I magnify assembly. I like the colors. Very good.
wow. yes.
Very cool light. Its hard to tell what this photo actually is and how it was taken, which is a good thing.
Wonderful colours. There's something about your green colours. Did you use selective sharpening or did it come out this way naturally?

David this is a stunner. You should go walking with her more often. Did you add noise to the image?
david... you're always shooting in aperture priority mode... do you ever shoot in tv or manual? just wondering :-)
Very nice
great stuff - the reflection, colours and subject all combine well to make a nice image!
Wonderful shot - but what is that kid doing with the sink plunger ;-)
Very vibrant colours
Lots of layers and colors...i like this.
Strange and unique... I like it! :-) Thumbs up!

Great shot Dave. I saw this shot yesterday evening, and it suddenly reminded me Istanbul, I couldn't say why.
Mystical colors and atmoshpere, I like it very much.
Very interesting, leaves you wondering what's reflect and what's direct. The colours are wonderful.
Thanks everyone.
PIXEL VIKING: I selectively blurred some areas.\
john: I haven't noticed any problems with John's site over the last day or so.
Mark: no, I didn't add any noise.
ninu: I often use manual mode when using flash, and very occasionally use shutter priority - not very often though.
joyously whimsical !
very subtle and powerful image, great concept with many possible readings
