This is the third and probably final shot from the TVR Back Home 2006 meetup I attended on Saturday. Let me know how you think it compares to the other two.
On another matter: there's a fairly serious amount of behind-the-scenes recoding going on at the moment as I'm adding a few bits to chromasia and am taking the opportunity to tidy up my existing templates and CSS. The finished product isn't going to be massively different to the existing site, but the coding changes are quite major. In other words, there's a good chance that I'll mess something up at some point. If you happen to drop by in the middle of it all ... my apologies.

This is my favourite. You have lined this up rather well. Two contrasting colours and a great reflection. Now this is what I call a dynamic shot. The alloy on the wheel really does gleam too. I like this Dave.

My Favorite also.... I'm just impressed on how clear the reflection is

Quite amazing David. I love it that you made the reflection the subject and yet retained the interesting"ness" of the car reflecting as well.
I would say you have proven your diversity the last few days. Well done.
comment by Carole at 09:50 PM (GMT) on 17 July, 2006
My favorite too - love the depth, colors and refections - I want one - a T350.
I prefer this to the other shots mainly because you get to see more of the car! I like the angle and the reflection also, I wish I could have made it there. :( Boo bloddy HOO.

This is simply the best one! GREAT!GREAT! GREAAAAT!

I prefer the colours, angle and reflection in this shot, but overall I think I prefer yesterdays. All in all I find it more comfortable to look at. Maybe its the cooler colours on such a hot evening I don't know.....
Good luck with the recode.... I'm just starting to look at installing MT and even that scares the hell out of me....!
Graet picture! Maybe it's hard to belive, but at first I didn't see that reflection, and I thought it's nice, but nothing special. I like this one the most from your TVR shots. Great colours...
yes, this too is my favourite. the yellow on the wheel-trim is especially NICE. Well done :)

Now this is what I'm talking about! This is by far the best of the three in my opinion. Great looking cars, and what a beautiful reflection in that paint-job.
My favourite shot and I think probably the most visually engaging.
However, this shot is also the least successful at fulfilling your brief since there's nothing that imediately says, "Blackpool!" Or so it seems to me. I think the second shot was more successful in that regard.
Sorry that sounds a bit bookish, I love your photographs.
Great reflection. I especially like how the front of the yellow TVR is reflected twice. Kinda' gives you a chance to see it from more angles. They must have been polishing those cars all day long.
I love it. Mostly because I've been to car shows and struggled with taking any picture that looks like more than a snapshot. Using the proximity of the cars rather than fighting it is just a splendid idea and the execution of it here is wonderful.
comment byRobert at 01:00 AM (GMT) on 18 July, 2006
Great composition - the curve of the red car makes a perfect surface for highlighting the form of the yellow car.

Great shot, lovely colors. I just came back from a Germany GTG, and had the chance to rent a Lamborghini Gallardo down there, oh my god that was cool :-)
Kick ass shot David!

I'm also really liking this one. You're finding your pace by trying different angles of the same topic and it's coming out great. It's a tough shot and you just about pulled it off...
comment byKelvin at 02:35 AM (GMT) on 18 July, 2006
ahh. the sagaris. that car alone is a beautiful work of art. You can't possibly have a bad picture when a sagaris is in it.
metal jelly? I like to bite it!
It was even better if you had a sexy supermodel laying on the car ;-)

Well among the three I like this the least. I love the concept here but I guess you have not executed it as well as you have executed the other shots. I feel there is a lot of clutter and the eye find it difficult to focus on anything

This one I guess, I do like the first one too. The 2nd one whilst it may be a good ad for B'pool it doesn't site right for me.
comment bySteve at 12:06 PM (GMT) on 18 July, 2006
That is a savage shot. The colours, curves, reflections, everything. That should be x-rated. TVRrrrrrrrrrr

Very nice series. Especially the first and the last shot is great. Nice work. Really nice!!!
Makes me wish I could afford the cars :) Love the series.
Up on your game as usual David.

The first 2 shots did nothing for me (in my humble opinion they were not up to your usual standard) but this one is a belter - the sort of thing you'd expect to see in a good advert in a Sunday glossy or Top Gear Magazine, whereas the first 2 were more 'max power'. I await crucifixion for my comments.

These past three shots have been something else. Not becuase they are great car shots, and not just because of your great colour work, but you've managed to capture city elements in each of them in a way that makes each photo into some sort of perspective piece about London (I believe that's where you are?). They're a joy to look at. My personal favorite is the first one. Very nice.
comment by Paul at 04:21 PM (GMT) on 18 July, 2006
Testosterone-tastic. Nice shots. That is the Blackpool Tower over the bonnet of the second shot? From someone who know nowt about cars, I like the colour of the third one best!
This is also my favorite of the last few. Very striking.

really cool. when i first saw it i was amazed.crazy composition and everything works in the picture, from the different rims to the buildings in the "background" and the capture of the TVR logo embeded in it all. they should buy this photo (and the last few, for that matter) for their advertising

Very inventive shot - I particularly like the 'dual subject' nature of this, and it's my favourite of the 4. I do wonder whether it could do with a bit off the bottom though, as the wheel seems to make it want to pivot and there's not much in each lower corner to make it stay up! Does that make sense?

Your TVR shots are directly responsible for inspiring me to post a car shot! You've capture this one particularly well.
