Not the first thing that springs to mind when I think of Britain; looks more like everyday in the Florida summer. The wall ties it in though, and is an interesting contrast to the sunny, beach feeling.

No beach, she stares at a wall. Sad.

Good composition and contrast. The saturated colours are looking cool too but what is she doing sitting there staring at the wall?
I like it. I haven't seen a shot that prompted me to comment lately, but I dig the tones on this one, i don't want it be a beach (tho i liked when you were doing the super saturated beach shots) it's different and i dig the contrasting colors.

question - did you use a tripod with the 70-200 or handheld?
thanks and I am HUGE fan of your work!

The town where I live, Bergen - Norway, has guaranteed worse weather than the whole of England, so stop whining :-) Just look it up.

Technically I think this is a great shot. But I'm not sure about her staring at a wall, it should be a beach or something else that says it's summer.

Great shot (who's the model or is it a candid?), I like the brick backdrop to this as well.

A wonderful, story-filled shot! Great detail and colors. I really like the brightness of the person contrasted with the tones of the background.
BTW, unlike some comments by others, I didn't see a woman staring at a brick wall. I assumed you took ths shot from a high vantage and the bricks are paving so she is actually watching something across the paving. Assuming I'm correct, let me add: very nice angle!
Well what has not been said already.. very clear and toned love the bokeh is super.

i agree with thukai too. my girlfriend live there for four months and i visited her for only 4 weeks, but it was raining all the time. only one day the weather was fine.
like the sunny colours and the details at her head hat.

I beg to differ. Name the last time you consciously turned your windscreen wipers on whilst driving due to rain. Very rare these days. It is definitely getting dryer.
This image is lovely. The colours are great and the contrast accentuates this. Cannot wonder what the she is looking at though. Perhaps just the texture. An interesting approach, but no change there.
On days like today it's easy to forget that Britain, generally speaking, has some of the most miserable weather in the world ;-)

Beautiful image btw ;)

Colours in the straw hat and wall really work well together.. wow it's damn hot here in Germany.
Brilliant...'nuff said!
Really nice tones put together. Smells like summer indeed!
why do you say she's staring at the wall, i think she's looking over it :)
Thanks everyone.
And kikko77 was nearly right, and Sharla was spot on. She isn't looking at a wall, she's sat on a flight of steps leading down to a cobbled area.
The perfect summer photo. Captures the weather nicely. Great shot.
Wonderfully presented, composition and processing are just perfect.
Hi, could I use this image for the header of my blog ?
Thank you.
fascinating pic...
