I don't have much to say about this one other than that there were two things that attracted me to this scene: the colour match between this man's shirt and the bench in the foreground and his pose – almost as though he'd been laid out following an untimely demise.

Great shot. I love the way the guys shirt matches the bench below. He looks dead ;-)

The man and the wooden planks make parallel horizontal lines. A very restful image i'd say.

Interesting shot... is this some sort of stadium? I can't decide if I like the way this shot feels so flat.

The comment by plastic TV just highlights how differently we must all interpret pictures. He has drawn attention to the parallel lines and I have gone for the echo in colours.
Very interesting. I think Plastic TV is perhaps more observent on this occasion ;-)

Stunning shot - the parallel lines are great and the colours work perfectly together.
He sure does look dead... not too sure if I like the second bench (aside from its color) though. Nice shot all the same.

hehe, My first thought was that Is he dead? :) Almost looked like he's floating on the air. And that shirt and that lower bench color do match quite nicely :)

Fabulous capture, should be an album cover!

Great composition; it's almost as if he's stacked up on a shelf, waiting to be processed.

love the colours :D
such a weird find! great textures too.. love the bottom bench with the gap between the seating area and the back rest... kinda looks like a mouth or something?
comment bysid.phillips at 07:21 PM (GMT) on 30 July, 2006
The textures in the image really complement the serenity of the pose. Glad to see you're getting away from the beach, although i was a big fan of yesterday's shot.
The other reason I think he looks dead, other than having his arms across his chest, is that he's placed so high in the frame – almost as though the lid's about to close. At least that's how I see it ;-)
comment byChris Pittock at 10:10 PM (GMT) on 30 July, 2006
Great shot, but are you absolutely share he was only resting?
Chris: no, to be honest, no, I'm not entirely sure ;-)

stunning shot and it looks like he's dead.
Think its the folded arms that lead the thoughts to anything other than sleeping.
This is a fantastic shot - great all around. The colors are great.
Truly great. Wonderful composition :-) Thumbs up from here!

Fun shot, looks like he should be part of some nation's flag.

excellent - it was hard to work out what was going on here - the composition helps to confuse the perspective - clever....
I like the composition..it makes him look like he's levitating... barely haning on to life so to speak... great color
:-)
