Something of a comfort-zone shot this evening: Fleetwood beach, reflections, waves, a groyne, and a sense of peace and belonging.
On another matter: thanks to everyone who's signed up to the tutorials forum. Your feedback is very much appreciated and has given us a lot to think about (which we'll respond to shortly).
And finally: sorry this is so late going up but I've had problems with my computer this evening.

Gorgeous. Beautiful. Serene and dramatic. You've heard it all before. And I have to say that you once again demonstrate how an intimate knowledge of a location enables great photography!

I can almost feel the ocean breeze and taste the salt in the air in this one. Wonderful work..as always!

Now this is definately my kind of shot. I love it. It is simple yet complex. I can see this on my living room wall. Good job.

very dramatic and it makes me wonder what the fence is separating?
i wish the brightness on the fence was a lilttle higher...i bet it has many grooves and markings that tell a story all on their own and you're shot hides them by making it all black!

This is a good photo. I believe that the foaming white water could have been as white or even more white in the left frame as in the right frame, there is some difference.
Sorry to bring this up again, but I still can't see the main page of your blog (or the index page of the website, for that matter). They show up as blank white pages. The individual archive pages work just fine for me ...

I noticed the turbulent cloud formation last night over Blackpool and thought it would make a good picture. If only I had these skills to capture it right. Most impressed

I wonder if you've been using the ND 113 filter on these very dark beach scenes you've been posting lately?

I can see this one hanging as a large print in my bedroom for me to look at and drift away into a wonderful dreamy world...
...very powerful shot, I really love your style.

Thanks all.
Crank: I could have processed this as an HDR, but I decided not to.
moodaholic: yes, it does look like there's a slight discrepancy.
Kit: I've emailed you about this problem. Let me know if you haven't received it.
Bob: no, not on these ones.

Beautiful captures (like forever), David.
Congratulations, friend!
very powerful!
Interesting metallic feel to the reflection.
not a big fan of the dark fence...everything else looks good though
Very nice sky and relfection. The monoochrome works nicely as well. Fence is kinda dark, but I think it still works.
I love the darks in this photo. Very nice contrasts.
Stunning sky and reflection. Very nice.
