We took the kids down to the Pleasure Beach today, and I was hoping to come back with at least one or two shots of them enjoying the rides, but the best I could manage was this rather large collection of 'crazy frog' stuffed toys. Not the most appealing of creatures, to say the least.

A spooky shot. I think this would have been a good image in full colour but this mono treatment with the coloured eyes adds a whole new dimension, quite eerie. The shot reminds me of some of Misha Gordins work, well sort of!
I have just returned from a trip to south pier there were a couple of similar shots but the stall holders where not in a very cooperative mood. I was getting funny looks so I didn't bother. Some other interesting stuff though!
comment byAsh at 10:26 PM (GMT) on 21 August, 2006
excellent shot.....definitely cool!

comment byCurlyToes at 10:44 PM (GMT) on 21 August, 2006
hehe, great picture. I hate the frog but it gave me a chuckle. What's going on with that frog's belly button?
comment byRick at 11:24 PM (GMT) on 21 August, 2006
That frog is sooo annoying... The fact that there is so many of him / that / her doesn't make it any better. I guess, the photograph is cool, though :)

comment byGraphicStudent at 02:11 AM (GMT) on 22 August, 2006
I agree with Jide. It's about time the real Chromasia's here. Also, in the music video, this guy has a penis. Where is it??

comment byYdiot at 02:37 AM (GMT) on 22 August, 2006
First of all I thought it was a stereogram - you know, this kind of 3D picture you need to look "through" if you want to see the 3D stuff inside - and when I found it actually wasn't one, I had to laugh. Chromasia usually makes me drool with awe, this time it made me laugh out loud.
(I just wonder whether you erased the background so that it is black or whether it was originally black)

Poor crazy frog is missing an appendage. Here (in video clips on the ABC at least) he has his pecker exposed. Somehoe now I have written that I wish there was something else as my first reaction to the shot!

Maybe I live under a rock - I've never seen this guy before. He is freakin' creepy. It's the belly button does it - frogs are amphibians, hatched from eggs...no belly button. What wacky womb does he come from? Thank god they left off the penis in this version - that would morph my disturbed chuckle into an outright scream of terror. Thanks for this fun Dave!

I imagine these guys all singing a repetitive song about their belly-buttons.
A creepy, repetitive song, at that.
comment by justin at 03:32 PM (GMT) on 22 August, 2006
The repetetion of the bodies reminds me of cloned fetus'. The smiles are a compliment to Dr. Jekyl. Then the blank stare is zombielike, while beings marching in formation step on the backs of children. This image is very interesting in that it portrays many different abnormal qualities of the human form which is accented by the chromasiatic lighting.
