I'm not quite as pleased with this one as I was with yesterday's, but I thought it was probably worth putting it up.

You were taking this one when we arrived. Itried a similar shot but your cars are better placed. The colour of the sky is interesting. Why do they put there hands in the air?

comment by mandark at 07:33 PM (GMT) on 27 August, 2006

oh no, this one is also great! but i can't say wich is my favorite...

comment by Alistair - Digiphotology at 07:34 PM (GMT) on 27 August, 2006

I meant their of course!

Nice color!

comment by Dennis Bullock at 07:50 PM (GMT) on 27 August, 2006

The color oof the sky is great. Reminds me on iPod ad.

comment by tobias at 08:16 PM (GMT) on 27 August, 2006

Why do they put their hands in the air, because it is alot more scary.

I like the tone to the sky in this.

comment by 24by36 at 08:33 PM (GMT) on 27 August, 2006

I like this shot better than yesterday's. The composition, intersecting lines, and colours are really well done.

comment by luminouslens at 08:54 PM (GMT) on 27 August, 2006

I LOVE THIS! I think it's much better than yesterdays, personally. I love the much simpler composition with the very contained human element, and it's all so static except that clearly the rollar coaster is racing forward. I think it's fantastic.

comment by Arthur at 08:56 PM (GMT) on 27 August, 2006

Great!

comment by steefje at 09:11 PM (GMT) on 27 August, 2006

"Why do they put there hands in the air?": they were all cheering 'YEAH the guy from chromasia is taking our picture !', enthousiastically shaking their fists up and down, in an attempt to channelize the euphory they were experiencing. That, plus they were going down on a rollercoaster :)

comment by Mike at 09:20 PM (GMT) on 27 August, 2006

Yes! this one works really well. I prefer this to yesterdays. Nice lines!

comment by Steve at 10:25 PM (GMT) on 27 August, 2006

I love the lines in this. And great color.

comment by Paul Woolrich at 10:39 PM (GMT) on 27 August, 2006

This is fantastic, I really love the colour of the sky thanks to the post processing. I prefer this photo to the one you put up on your site yesterday.

comment by Jennifer at 10:49 PM (GMT) on 27 August, 2006

Loved yesterday's but this is better!

excellent shot

comment by Zach at 12:03 AM (GMT) on 28 August, 2006

I have to chime in that I prefer this one to yesterday's as well. Great photo.

I find that the colors and the light are wonderful ! Ireal ... ( english ? )

comment by nils k. windisch at 01:33 AM (GMT) on 28 August, 2006

the blue makes it surreal. i like it.

comment by Jamey at 02:23 AM (GMT) on 28 August, 2006

Really nice. And once again I'm going to ask you about the colouring. Yesterday you said simply that it was "changed in CS2". Can you expand a bit on how you changed it? Hue adjustment? If so, global or selective?

comment by sach1tb at 04:22 AM (GMT) on 28 August, 2006

nice one. I would have like one with a little motion better...

comment by Gabriel Loeb at 04:55 AM (GMT) on 28 August, 2006

I love this. Silhouettes make me so happy you have no idea. Great light too.

comment by John Zeweniuk at 07:39 AM (GMT) on 28 August, 2006

great simplicity, cool image and taken together with the previous one even better!

comment by navin harish at 08:26 AM (GMT) on 28 August, 2006

In one look, I prefer the shot you posted yesterday but I liked this shot more the longer I watched it. I like the gradient of thwe sky and the people raising their hands in the roller coaster

comment by Doug at 10:14 AM (GMT) on 28 August, 2006

Lol great stuff, reminds me of the last time i was on the big one, excellent

comment by thomas at 10:48 AM (GMT) on 28 August, 2006

like the shot, but i don't like the colour of the sky. it looks to unreal. i think a bw-one works better

comment by javga at 11:00 AM (GMT) on 28 August, 2006

Very graphic. Made in Illustrator? ;-)

comment by Steve at 11:10 AM (GMT) on 28 August, 2006

I really like this one Dave. I like the mix-match of the tracks and supports...the curved track and the straight one cutting through it. And then the small details of the arms of the people on the rollercoaster raised. Like it a lot.
I also liked yesterdays, but I have to say I prefer this one.

comment by Semih at 12:17 PM (GMT) on 28 August, 2006

this one is simply great!
i personally think this one is much better than yesterday's...

comment by Mary at 02:39 PM (GMT) on 28 August, 2006

I like this one but prefer yesterday's; probably because purple is my favorite color! The blue in this one is so vibrant. I like it. Nice.

comment by JD at 03:48 PM (GMT) on 28 August, 2006

definitally worth putting up ;) the colours are great... but I know what you mean about it not being as pleasing as the previous shot...
I often regret the order which I upload images too... jumping straight into my favourites rather than building up anticipation saying "AND TOMOROWS IS MUCH BETTER" sort of thing

comment by Thomas Solberg / Project neXus at 04:58 PM (GMT) on 28 August, 2006

I really like the composition and the colours. Nice job!

comment by Rob at 05:41 PM (GMT) on 28 August, 2006

I also really like this one. The position of the coaster and the hands in the air is just perfect.

comment by Sil at 06:14 PM (GMT) on 28 August, 2006

I prefer this one as well. Perhaps because of the people visible. Perhaps the linear composition.

comment by bob at 07:02 PM (GMT) on 28 August, 2006

This shot is clearly more structured than the previous. The simplicity of the two crossing lines are giving enough tension in the picture. The people in the coaster are just an element to bring enough life in this photo. Composition and color are very good.

comment by Elissa at 07:53 PM (GMT) on 28 August, 2006

I prefer this one over yesterdays. I like the lines and negative space of this one. And the coaster has a nice strong silhouette. Now if only the sky were purple in this one as well :)

comment by John at 08:27 PM (GMT) on 28 August, 2006

Love the strong graphic elements.

comment by Wolfgang at 08:49 PM (GMT) on 28 August, 2006

Wonderful shot! The blue is great.

comment by Craig Wilson at 09:00 PM (GMT) on 28 August, 2006

One of my favouites. I absolutely love this shot. Well done.

comment by Sarah at 04:58 AM (GMT) on 3 September, 2006

great shot...very graphic... shows the suspense of the rollcoaster :)

comment by Adriana at 09:55 PM (GMT) on 5 September, 2006

Don't know if it is mi monitor but looks kind of brilliant to me. Let's see yesterday's

comment by BeakerSt at 07:58 PM (GMT) on 10 September, 2006

I actually said wow out loud...guess I liked it.
