I processed this last night, and at the time I wasn't overly impressed with it. But, after an extremely long day of dealing with a variety of stresses and strains, it suddenly seems a lot more appealing.
Oh, and the thing on the horizon, to the left of center, is a gas rig.
Tomorrow, I'm going to play with my new lens so should, all being well, have something different to put up.

Nice. The sea is a lovely shade.
Look forward to hearing (or perhaps ‘seeing’) what you think of that lens. I have the f4 (non IS) version, and have just got an 85mm f1.8 USM (very nice indeed) instead of getting the f2.8.

Such a nice, serene shot! I love the detail and the light in the water.

I like the contrast of the orange sky and blue see. it makes the photo look like a painting.

Nice idea to include the orange sky and the gas rig. Even if you have choose only to show the sea, it would also result in a very dynamic image.
Canon has released the new Canon EF 70-200 mm F4L IS USM lens (http://www.dpreview.com/news/0608/06082414canon70-200f4lens.asp). I think this is also a good choice.

I really love the processing here... curious even what the result would be if pushed even further along the same path. Such a vivid scene. Bravo!

I really like the contrast of the blue and orange colours. My only criticism would be that I keep getting drawn to the gas rig on the horizon. I'd personally clone that out as I find it distracting but I know many photographers don't like altering shots.

I'm not sure how you texturize water, but you did it! Nice shot.

Simple shot, but pretty. I was wondering, how many canon lenses do you own that you use? I have been looking at your images and almost every single one has a different lens.

I like colour contrast like this.. nice job.
The water looks pretty sharp.
BTW, you better enjoy that monster lens... hope you've been doing some arm curls.

Water is such a difficult subject to capture. I always feel like water is only something you can experience, rather than look at and understand through viewing it. But I think you've done the ocean much justice with this shot.

love the idea... beautiful color. I feel like I want more of the orange, but maybe that's why its good with such a small amount...

Nice shot David. The colours are really good and the contrast between the sea and sky is superb.
I've got the other version of the lens and am looking forward to seeing what you come up with.

Great shot! Amazing colours, the water doesnt look like water, looks like rubber or something thats imitating water. Amazing work.

Great texture in the water - very appealing. Not too sure about the colour of the sky though...
