If there was an annual award for the person to catch the most viral infections in any given year, Libby and I would win. Well, I'd win, and Libby would probably come a close second. I don't know what it is at the moment but we just seem to catch everything that's going and have spent most of this weekend sneezing and bemoaning our fate. We probably need more sleep.
Anyway, life threatening blocked nose aside, I managed to spend a bit of time on Fleetwood beach this afternoon and found this item washed up on the shore. It's not my best beachcombing shot, not least because the light was rather harsh, but I'm quite pleased with how it turned out.

Great shot David. At first glance it was difficult to get a sense of scale as I wasn't quite sure what the object was. Great tonalilty in the foreground and bold skies as always.

The tone of your pictures are what consistently keeps me coming back to see more. The detail with the sky is amazing. How did you get this type of effect on this picture?

After the last few days, here is the Chromasia I know.
I was up here myself this morning, the tide was right in at the time but the sky was wicked. It looks as though you have toned down the sky in this one to lift the main subject, your sort of shot, I love the gritty texture.

I like it. The dramatic sky makes it seem like more than trash... maybe a piece of wreckage.

Cool. Love the sky - at first I thought it might've been inverted but when I inverted it back it doesn't look like it, which makes it even cooler :-)

I like this it's a great find, the composition works and the framing is lovely, the only minor negative is the PP, the masking to the right of the bin has less contrast to the outer edge, and also on the base of the bin. I thought this maybe due to the vignette applied at the end but the bin seems ok...

I have no idea what that thing is but it looks like an interesting piece of metal. The toning is excellent and the clouds really add something.
