I do have another couple of shots to put up from my trip up to Fleetwood with John at the weekend but I think this is probably my favourite. Well, either this one or the one I'll be putting up on Thursday. And like the shot I put up on Sunday (before anyone asks), this is an entirely natural reflection.

We have a similar eye for a picture, I must revisit your neck of the woods again, this is a lovely composition...

A very pleasing and somehow soothing image; something about balance I guess, which always works for me. There is also an undercurrent of the artificial, although I know it's not, just well composed and beautifully processed.

Lovely reflection again.
It must be something about the weather at the moment, but I had a few hours a few weekends ago when the pools between the sand banks were as still as a mill pond, which produced some great reflections and enough pictures to last me over a week.

That is just spectactular.

Digging it, david. The pastel blues are wonderful, and I love the reflection. Something about the way the sand and subject break up the blues is very interesting. Great work.

The sense of weight from the "monuments" and the stillness of the water give the image a fantasy feel. Not quite sci-fi, but a little beyond our normal world.

Since I've shifted jobs I haven't been visiting Chromasia daily as I used to. I've just been catching up on some of what I've missed - congratulations for the new addition to your family. All the best to you and yours this Christmas.

I love the cool colours. It's almost like a landscape you would see in a sci-fi film.

Hi Dave,

here is my impression: I think the type of pictures you posted changed a little bit.
I don't know if it's only my imagination but for example the pictures before (let's say):

Did you change something?

HDR by any chance? Lovely colour and compo though!

comment by Arthur at 04:20 PM (GMT) on 20 December, 2006

I actually don’t like this one quite as much as the previous two, but I really like the style of all three.
