Love portrait - great expression. Not crazy about the warm, yellow tint - I think I'd prefer shades of true gray.

Good lord! Those eyes are insane. I've spent hours photographing my 5 month old nephew, trying to get a shot similar to this. The detail in his eyes is fantastic. Lovely shot. I can only imagine how hard it was to get.

comment byKJM at 04:46 PM (GMT) on 28 February, 2007
It's a great expression, and well captured, but personally I find the contrast between very soft skin and sharp eyes (which I think is probably post-processing) a little overdone on this occasion.

I'm still trying to figure out what "belting" means... but in the meantime, this is one of my all-time favorite images. Every now and then one of your images stuns me and redefines Chromasia for me in my mind. This is one of them. It makes me laugh and look with wonderment at the same time. Masterful work, David.

Oh my gosh....what a terrific photo. I absolutely love it. I do have a clue who this child is, but, I want to frame his photo and hang it on the wall so it'll make me smile every time I see it.
