This is the third of four shots that I'm going to put up from my recent trip to the beach, and I suspect it's my second favourite out of all of them. The first one is probably my favourite, simply because it was quite unusual, but this one comes in a close second; mostly, I think, because it's a peaceful and quiet scene, which is exactly what I need at the moment.

Libby, on the other hand, much prefers the other three and thinks this one is quite bland. But I guess there's no accounting for taste ;-)

I like it. The panoramic crop and the softness of the couds make it interesting. Really chromasia style.

This is one i like very much....just love those ton-sur-ton colours (dont know the english words) peaceful and calm...lovely

I agree with Libby - I like this better than the "lump of iron" shot, which I felt had depth of field in sort of "Gaussian Blur" way :-) This is more cold and brooding.

I agree with you, Dave, and I also prefer the "lump of iron". That shot was graphic a la John Washington. This shot, although nice, is a bit fuzzy and bland. It has the colour quality of an old transparancy from your childhood.
