The good news is that the baby project/book will be finished on Wednesday. So far, I've written 29,674 words and only have eight section left to complete, from a total of 63. I've lost count of how many screen grabs and photographs I've included (though can tell you that I have taken just short of 2000), and I've almost lost the will to live.

The bad news is that I'm going to be working flat out to get the last few sections done so am not sure that I'll have anything to put up over the next few days. Rest assured though, that if you don't see me for a couple of days, I'll definitely be back on Thursday – and I won't be posting any baby shots for quite some time ;-)

How many shots did you need to get this great result? The spray in the front gives a good framing to the image. The diagonal in contrast to the leveled horizon is well recognized by you.

Simply, I love it!

Nice work. Reminds me of a dodgy b+w movie where the ship/ submarine/ bridge/ undersea headquarters are filmed on models in a bathtub sized setup.

Love this shot, so tactile.

68mm on a full frame! were you sat in the sea? to my (inexperienced) eye I'd have said this was shot with the 70-200. nice one.

Wave pictures are often boring but this one really stands out!

Fab! Do you wear old waterproof clothing when you go out or do you belong to the bin bag school?

Yeh ... well er .. cor blimey ... yikes ... Wow !... Fancy amalgamating two of my favourite colours indigo and charcoal grey ... It's a seriously yummmmmmmy picture!!!!

But you knew indigo was important to me from my email address ... Didn't you Dave?

Fantastic shot! Great depth of field effect and I, too, love the toning. Keep your nose to the grindstone on the book. I hope it's helpful to know how many well wishers you have behind you. If you start to feel bogged down, just picture us all with pom-poms waving at you in front of our monitors and laptops.

Great image! I really like these layers within the scene with the breaking waves in both the fore and background. Mal

superbe photo!

Well Dave, I hope you are doing good. I like this shot because of the water coming towards the watcher. It is dynamic and you have chosen a good colour to tone it. This is one of the images that look like they are moving. Wish you a good time, looking forward to see your next images ;)

Fantastic shot. I agree with all the positive feedback and don't care to be redundant so that's all.

I like how you've frozen the water. Nice job.

comment by Jeremy at 06:35 AM (GMT) on 13 March, 2007

@P.J. - the water at Blackpool is always bloody freezing ! :-)
