Today was a bit of a busman's holiday for me as I had a couple of hours on the beach. And, loathe though I am to admit it, the beach at Dubai is considerably warmer, bluer and greener than Blackpool's. I didn't find any old tyres or broken buckets though, which was a bit of a disappointment, but other than that it was an enjoyable trip ;-)
On another matter: Happy Birthday Amirah, and I'm sorry I can't be there to share it with you. I hope you have a good day :-)
Amirah turns 13 today, and as we're expecting another girl in April that now means that we will have teenage daughter's in the house for the next eighteen years. Wish us luck ;-)

OMG you in Dubai? This will probably be the most impressive pictures of this place I've seen to date. Would be good if you take pictures of the Marina... might be better than our brochures.

Good luck then :)
What a blueish, greenish beach....I wish to be there. Very nice one. What is that thin white line at the edge of the horizon? Is it a wave or an island?

While I enjoy the shot, I am a little surprised that no one has mentioned the clarity of the object there. It just doesn't seem as sharp as it could be. Nice shot other than that though.
