I think the former ones were better. I miss the blurred waves. Without them it is a bit simple. Nice tones, great composition, but nothing more.

E y e V i s i o n: yep, this is the more literal of the four.

I love the first one.

I love the previous one, because of its colours. but the waves are more beautyful in this one

Spectacular colours!

I like the previous two and enjoy seeing you stretch your interpretations. However, I still prefer this one. I love the -snap- and am always dazzled by the sharpness of a good pic. It is what Ansel Adams also sought and the goal of the f:64 Group, so those of us in that vein can't be all wrong. In this capture, I particularly like the "eye"-effect created by the clouds and bright colors of the setting sun. The boat makes it real but I wished they'd been a couple minutes late for your shot.

All three are special in their very own way and I admire your diversity. This one definitely has the 'Nightingale' stamp on it.

My feeling is that the previous one has more of a lovely dreamlike mood compared to this more stark version. I can almost hear that speeding boat shattering the peace as it rushes though the scene. Had the craft been a plodding old work boat, perhaps the peacefulness might have been preserved.

this is my favourite of those posted so far... it's more tangible whereas the other two were a little too dream-like for me. All great shots though!

I much prefer this out of the previous 3.

comment by José Brito at 02:14 PM (GMT) on 5 April, 2007

You do suspect well! =) This one's my favourite!

I do like this one a lot, but I think the 2nd is still my favorite. I really like the dreamy quality of that one.

Delurking to unprofessionally say I LOVE this and the previous two. Love them all! But especially these :-)
Hope you're all well xx

I think I prefer yesterday's - had a dreamy quality.

comment by Maarten at 08:54 PM (GMT) on 5 April, 2007

great compo, the clouds seem to be guiding the boat
