Well, if yesterday's comments were anything to go by (in terms of quantity rather than quality), then I guess it's a good job that this is the last shot I'll be posting from my recent trip to Dubai ;-)
Tomorrow, and the day after, I'll be posting a couple of portraits: both of which I'm pleased with; neither of which are babies.

this is really lovely. i like the elegance of the coloring. plus, having the negeactive space be the focal point is really nice esp. when framed by the blood red tropical sunset. it has a real end of days feel to it. posting on Easter a coincidence?
Ash: that's in I'm afraid, I don't have any more that are worth posting, at least not in my opinion.
Jennifer: thanks.

Saved the best to last. The other one I really liked was the goal posts, but that could have been Blackpool. This could too I s'pose (more tea!) But on the other hand maybe you don't get these colours in Blackpool. Oh maybe it's PS? Either way I really like it.

It is indeed lovely but to MY eye at least (if anyone's keeping score) that football net from a few days ago was your best of this Dubai series. Great to experiment with a different palette and feel but I found some of those experiments a bit toooooo lacking in contrast and definition.
Just my two cents, as our American descendants like to say...

awe inspiring and majestic. i like that she is practically blacked out but you can still see some features of life. it is the life that peers out of the darkness in the toes and face. the distant boat and horizon give you the feeling of lonliness, especially with her head facing down. i love the patterns in the sky and how the clouds seem to radiate out of the back of her head.

interesting silhouette and color....

Stunning in every way and it's so Dubai! Just intrigued if she was one of your students posing for you or a random beach visitor who you managed to creep upon with your telephoto? Really stunning shot and colours, however.... I do still very much LOVE your image of the couple sipping wine infront of one of Matt Hoyle's prints ;-)

I think this is one of your better works of late. Great choice on the shallow depth of field but any chance of removing that ship in the distance? it's distracting me from focusing on the main subject. =)
