Since posting this shot last summer, I've been on the look-out for an old knife to complete, but I can't honestly say that I'm entirely happy with this one. There are elements that I like, and others that I don't, but I've run out of new material to put up so it will have to do for today.
On another matter: as a lot of you know, Libby is expecting our latest child on the 16th of this month, so I may not manage to post something every day, at least not for the next week or so. I'll get something up on the day she's born though (fingers crossed), and will keep you all posted about how we're getting on.

I really like the texture that you've brought out in this shot. The colors are lovely too.

I like how it's partially stuck in the surface; gives it the look of being excavated. The sharp shadow works as well.

Maybe not as dramatic as other images of your's but still inspiring with great colours and texture.

Looks like something from the Time Team - can just see Tony getting all excited ;-) Lovely colours. Looking forward to the next baby shot - good luck!

A major dilemna has emurged for me with this shot David ... ''sow's ear/ silk purse'' is one side of the coin ... '' nothing is so common place as to be dismissed'' is the other side.
Shall I sit on the fence and read what other people think.
Hope the following few days all go smoothly and give my regards to Libby.

This is a very interesting shot. At first I thought the knife was an old plane propeller or something. I like the coloring and the lighting better than the fork shot. However, the composition of the fork photo is really cool.

Yes, it's *so* embarrassing when you drop your cutlery in the bolognaise sauce :-)

Reminds me of the Bob Carlos Clarke cutlery series from the 1990s see http://en.easyart.com/art-prints/Bob-Carlos-Clarke/Carving-Forks-205166.html for an example

Hi! Apart from the high quality of your photos, your talent to find the perfect composition is remarkable! It's just like the french language: In french, even the most ugly terms sound beautiful. And in your pictures, even dirt looks attracting! Congratulations.

Hi! You are the first photgrapher I have ever liked! Your photos are all amazing and this one is my favorite. I just LOVE the colors and the texture. The shadow makes everything look so balanced and just plain beautiful!!!
