I know perfectly what you mean. I wish i could go back in time and enjoy all the moments of my childhood again, without worrying about my work and small unimportant things.
Great photo!

Not sure where you're going with this site at the moment Dave. You obviously don't have the time you once did to put into creating the kind of consistent quality you built your reputation on, yet you also don't seem to be pitching the business end from it. Are you a little stuck at the moment?
Of course much of the stuff you post is still better than much of the photoblog stuff out there right now (not hard is it) but I do get the feeling you're treading water somewhat...to say the least.
It'll be interesting to see how it develops - your balancing of your natural photographic instinct against what you actually need to do to make it earn you a living and feed your family.
I don't want that to sound negative and an attack on you...I suspect you've already had these thoughts yourself anyway.

There's a nice roundness about this pohto. I think it's in the skin tones.

Theres nothing like a photo of a child to let you know just how much time has passed! She has gotten so big! Great image, too!

So innocent and without fear or burden. As with everyone else here, I agree that this is a fantastic picture that leaves us to cherish the memories of our youth. Fantastic!

It's adorable. I love the lighting. I love the colours. I think that the falling sand resembles outlines of wings and your angelic daughter may take flight any second now. *glee!* glorious picture David!
I haven't had the advantage of being exposed to your work for years, as many of the people that visit and comment seem to have. I do know this, I discovered your work about 2 months ago and in that time my own photos have improved greatly, I believe as a direct influence of your work. So even if your current displayed work is sub-what-it-used-to-be, I can't tell and it still serves a great purpose. Coming from this dad with a camera, I feel emotion and affection in the work I see you post and hope to catch that with my own kiddos.
Sharing your photos with strangers can tell so much and open you up to such scrutiny. Thanks for making yourself so vulnerable and for the inspiration.

I like the perspective. She looms into this rather nicely and creates pleasing impact.
Sometimes I really wish I was a child again, when nothing mattered but the moment in hand.
