I always find the way that people react to a camera quite fascinating. Some people are shy, a few are horrified that you might be about to photograph them, and some, as in this instance, react as though the camera was a long lost lover they're about to devour.
I should also add that I have no idea who they are, other than that they attended the Blackpool Pride festival last weekend.

Your diptych shows a potentially very scary situation. 1. Guy and girl notice camera. Guy is ok with camera until 2. Girl engages camera and Guy becomes enraged because he's threatened. Please be careful David! The last thing we need is no more chromasia! :-) Great images, anonymous candids always fascinate me.
I really like this. I love the lighting. How did you do it? I see you used your flash, but did you use a diffusion dome? Wonderful shot though! I need to get more courage to ask random people if I can photograph them!

I think the only thing dangerous about getting this shot is that these two were just moments from asking you to come home with them. Great shot though.
ash: I used a stofen diffuser. As for photographing strangers: try going to a public event - people expect photographs to be taken and won't be anywhere near as suspicious.
Alex / Hubert: why post two comments from the same IP/email address with different names? As for your second comment: trust me, you're wrong ;-)

Good set of images. Well done. And I agree, the way people react is what makes people photography so good. I hope to get a bunch of good shots this weekend.

Chuckle - great characters - think I'd need a longer zoom to have the nerve to take shots like these - do Canon do a 1000L ;-)

There is something about the color choice that seems a bit out there... a bit strange. I would even say there is something demonic about this picture, reminding me of Devil's Advocate (the movie with Al Pacino).

Cant see scary anywhere. They look like fun people, how can these two be difficult to photograph. They clearly love it!
Yes street photography needs a little nerve at times but not with folks like this.

As I was strolling through my new issue of JPG magazine, I found an image that gave me a "deja vu" kind of feeling. Congrats on your submission of "There's Nothing On"!
Neat to see a photographer I actually am familiar with.
Keep it up friend.
Sorry about posting two comments from the same IP address (although if you check, you'll see it wasn't the same email address). Guess that's the problem with two people living together & sharing one computer.

Not too sure about the desaturation. Or the double image. In essence, not my favourite but they are sharp.

LOVE your artwork. Referred by blogroll of Josephbuffett.wordpress.com. Adding your site to my blogroll as well. Thanks, Anita
Bright and crispy sharp shot of these two rascalls...
The look in their eyes...
The smoochmark in her neck says it all!
Very cunning exposure too.
Amazing shot,......... again!
