This is the first of four shots of Transe Express, a French drumming troupe who performed in Blackpool last Saturday. If you get the chance, go and see them – they were excellent.
Oh, and this one definitely looks better with the black theme.

This is by far my favorite picture you have put up in the past few months. While it is not your best shot technically, it is amazingly interesting, captive, and down-right funny. Good job!
An absolutley fabulous shot with all the varied expressions. The faces came through exceptionally well too, which is quite a feat for a photo shot outside during the day. Terrific photo!

'Nutcrackers' jolly boys outing? What the Napoleonic wars might have looked like if Galliano and Kubrick had their way?
It's the guy at the back that intrigues me. The others resemble a grotesque mardi gras in the toy dept, and that's freaky enough, but the one devoid of humour lurking at the rear imposes his presence (mutant and malevolent). :| His face looks as though it's been selectively photoshopped to impossibly slender proportions to add 'accent mood'.
Wonderfull! The expressions on their faces; brilliant! Did you use a special lens or fisheye? I can't discover what it is but it looks a bit different in same way. Anyway, i absolutely love it!
This is a beautiful shot Dave! You've captured these guys on the border of super-friendly and über-creepy.. Then again, I've always been terrified of circus clowns, perhaps there's just a bit more resemblance than I care to admit.
On the critical side, I'd be curious to see if you'd framed your other exposures differently (or whether this was the minor crop..). I'm still not sure how I feel about the amputation of the fella on the left when there's a bit of 'white space' on the right.

Extraordinary and fabulous shot Dave!
Lots to see, love the expressions!
Very cunning angle, though I guess you had to take this one in a plit of a second...
Wow!
Beautifull B&W toning.
Love to see this one on my wall.

Brilliant shot with all their amazing expressions... have also visit the website... must be great to see and hear them.
This really is something to look at. Reminds me of a Marillion album cover (not that I'm a fan but the cover was cool). It really is a disconcerting image. The guy to the fore has got a great stance...

An interesting and dynamic shot. Did you do some dodging on the faces?
Excellent shot... I really love the expressions in their faces
Action packed image and nice tonality.
To my point of view, one of your best. The five faces, the framing and the b&w settings are perfect...
Incredible
fabulous
Excellent capture. Can see you did have some problems fitting all of the drummers in the shot. Good composition though. How many are they?

Fantastic, could be out of a film like Bedknobs and Broomsticks or similar. One of your best.
SUPERB(E), amazing faces and expressions - great point of view too !!
(Ils sont trop forts ces français !)
;-))
Nice one! Did you ask them to pose this way, or was it part of their routine which you captured at the right moment?
Bravo :) I really enjoyed this one. Looks extremely well staged. Is it, or did it just happen to be?
Hard to believe that it'f f/4 btw..

Haha, wonderful shot Dave!
I would like to criticize the French, but this is such a great I can't. Great perspective and drama.
What everyone else has said (except that bit about criticizing the French). Full of life!
absolutely amazing...
Very nice shot. Works well in B&W
This is fabulous. Absolutely wacky and full of fun bordering on surreal. It's got me smiling now :-)
Amazing shot- almost scary in a bad dream sort of way. Like the creepy clown thing- except in very French way.

Overall though, the photo is stunning! ~J

Thanks everyone.
moodaholic: there are seven drummers, and an eighth performer, so I didn't quite manage to get them all in.
Tom: it was taken during their routine.
Deb: I'll be putting up a shot of the guy you mention on Friday.
Jide: I like the shot you linked.
riesenriel: yes, their performance was great.
Very Wizard of Oz.
That is so surreal. Very cool.
Excellent composition , fantastic picture
Impressin capturewell done! Reminds me of the "Time bandits" film.
Dynamic (or maybe that should be dynamic in French).
