First: thanks for all the great comments on yesterday's shot – they're much appreciated.
As for this one: like tomorrow's, it's a portrait of one of the drummers from Transe Express, and like yesterday's this was taken while they performed their routine; i.e. it wasn't posed.

It was always going to be hard to beat yesterday's shot Dave. I like this, but it hasn't got the compositional dynamic the group shot had. Maybe a portrait orientation would have suited it better? The flash is very good, I can hardly can see it at all, but it gives a good separation with his left hand and the drumstick. By the way, I featured you on my own blog today :)
That background almost looks like a movie set. Guess the character helps to evoke that feeling too.
Nice follow-up from the previous post.

Great capture of the action. We can really feel what was happening there. Also like the way the flash made the costume details and the face expression pop-out. :-)
Yeah, the angle of the photo and his expression is phenominal. Wonderful shot!

It's a good POV as mentioned by others, but I think it's missing the same element of circus fantasy found in yesterday's shot. He seems more like a real person in makeup . Maybe it's because you're so close, and as he's the lone subject, the viewer more closely studies the details.
I do like the tones. I like the composition but I do wonder if more contrast between subject and backdrop might help give the image more 'pop'. Am I being pedantic? It is great but seems a litte flat.

This is a fantastic photo! It's extremely powerful where he is - it's also kind of frightening, but that just might be me and my thing with clowns ;).

我真是太喜欢你这种风格的摄影了!色彩的调整,人物表情的抓拍,拍摄角度的取定,都让人很受教!
Nice angle and great expressions
One shot from a brave angle, but extremely succeeded. Optimal photo.

Excellent....the angle works perfect here.
Nice shot. Yesterday's is great too. The lighting is great!
As with the previous shot, nice work. This is full of drama and clarity.
Thanks all :-)
This freaks me out. He looks like a character from a horror film. Great point of view and very nice processing.
