This one probably should have gone up alongside this one and this one – both taken at this year's Blackpool Pride festival – but I didn't get around to processing it at the time.
On a totally unrelated matter: I've added some JavaScript code to fade in the images on the main index page, individual archive pages, and gallery pages. Personally, I like the effect, but I'd be interested to hear what you think.
Update: ok, I've killed the JavaScript fade effect as it seems as though a) it's not a popular idea, and b) its effect is too variable (i.e. taking between 1/10th and seven seconds on different system/browser configurations). If I find a more reliable solution I may implement it at some point in the future.

Ha ha ha this is really quite a funny image, I guess the one on the right *could* be a woman!
I say lose the JS, it is everywhere these days!

Yeh the fading in /out is just a gimic ... It's the images that we are interested in David.
Paul ... ''YOUR'' woman on the right ... hmm ....Just look at the calf muscles ... and where's the cellulite?
Did you ask permission Dave? No, I doubt it ...They seem too preoccupied with their image to even have noticed you I expect.

Don't they realize that bomber jackets and camouflage pleated mini-skirts are soooo 2006. :)

I don't think the fading is obtrusive or detracting.

Nice effect, but fade a little bit slow in my opinion
Funny pic !

Made me a little more confident about donning my shorts this Summer! Yup a great effect but tad slow.

Well, there's something you don't see every day :-)
The fading is ok, but it's not particularly smooth, would be better if it was a bit smoother in my opinion.

It's not very often I see any reason to question your technical choices David, but don't you think this shot would have been better by stopping down one / one and a half stops for a little more depth of field? You had plenty of leeway in the shutter speed. Otherwise, it's a lovely street portrait. You wouldn't mess with a couple of army guys in skirts now would you...
Well, since you asked -- I don't care for the js. It slows things down and I find it obtrusive. Your photos don't need gimmicks - -the cleaner and simpler the interface, the better. IMO, anyway.

Nice shot... Would have been good if they'd both been looking away from the camera... Then you'd never know for sure if it was men or not. As for the JS... well the fade in takes about 1/10th of a sec on my PC, and while it does look pretty, I don't think it's needed. Style over content = bad...

That's a funny shot, especially with the side view showing off the moustache.
Let's hope they're not going commando.

Kind of a bizarre shot - funny.
The fading is obstructive and annoying in my opinion - it takes seven seconds to load and mouse gestures become delayed on my system (I'm using Opera and I saw this behaviour on several other sites that are using this js-effect).
I definitely agree with Plankmeister - Style over content = bad. Let your images speak for themselves, they don't need this kind of presentation "enhancement".

If you're going to wear cammo... you have to wear Members Only jacket and match your partner of course.

Good shot. I particularly like the cammo skirts. :-)

I like the shot Dave, but IMO I feel that the image could be cropped slightly to place the subjects firmly to the ground. They seem to be floating in mid air a bit.

lol genius
Crikey Dave - the js makes each shot take about 7 secs to load here :s

Bonjour,
Funny shot..Beautiful (?) legs..Bravo!
Oh I gota get me one of those outfits - so good for the summer :-)
Doesn't everyone have a skirt like those? They are common as muck in San Francisco! Nice capture Dave.
Good capture, funny lol
Cool shot, very funny!
Nooo! That is sooo wroong!
I mean, hairy legs!? :)
Don't think the camouflage works though...
What are you on Plankmeister?..... have you ever seen hair like that on a woman's leg, yikes... Love the shot Dave, brought a smile to my face ;-)
i like this shot. I don't see this where I live. So this is really interesting.
it takes a lot of guts to wear that.
Thanks all, and as most of you managed to work out, neither of the people featured in this shot are women :-)
Come on... More comments on how this picture could be better technically! I always like a good laugh. :-)
