Heck ...I'm home early from work and first to comment ! Prefer this to yesterday's ... It has more interesting breaking wave structure and form ...
For me though, the slow shutter speed reduces the quality of the breaking waves.
Amazing tonal quality .

I prefer this one! The waves are much more dramatic and the sky seems more ominous. It's beautiful!
I prefer this one too. Yesterday's was dramatic, but almost not quite enough. I love the blurred breaking wave in this one too!
Did you do something different with the name and email boxes? They look... different :)

This is beautiful... How was the post-processed??? I am dying to know lol. This is spectacular!
i needed today's image to really appreciate yesterday's image. to explain, this one shows tremendous tubulence in the sea and sharp contrast in the foam, the sea, the light, the clouds. all good and very beautiful. however, you were able to transform this harsh and striking landscape into a whisper with yesterday's image. both very nice images, but i prefer yesterday's.

I'd have to go with this one too. The first one was too ethereal. This one is dramatic without leaving the planet.

This one is better. Very nice.

I agree with Mal - can't decide - the moods are so different. I like them both - am so looking forward to the tutorials on post processing of images such as these.

I like this one even better than yesterday's. And I'm not bored yet - keep 'em coming ;-D
This is more 'other-worldly' and appeals from that aspect. For me, the two invoke different levels of drama, and as such both are interesting examples of how our eyes interpret the tonality of scenes.

This one by miles, that foreground is superb.

Having been with you at the time of shooting this image on that Fleetwood beach, I am really impressed with your end results, As I have my own raw files to compare with, you have definitely weaved a bit of magic into the final images. For your photography takes on what an artist would do with a raw canvas to create a landscape with mood and presence not just a snap shot like so many people take. This experience of discovering your working method has changed my direction in photography and shown me that there is another way of painting light other than paint. Some of my photos from that evening are on my Flickr site.

Very tough, but I think I like the overall effect of yesterdays better. I do like the dynamic wave in the foreground here but I like the soft effect you got from the longer exposure yesterday and the softer colors yesterday as well.

i prefer yesterdays, because it's more abstract than todays.
I know this is quite similar to yesterday's, at least in terms of composition, but I thought it was also worth posting. Let me know which you prefer.

I'm going to sit firmly on the fence with these two Dave! lol
I loved the dreamy feel of yesterdays but this one has a sinister dramatic quality that perhaps packs a little more impact. Both top images. mal

hey! this is a awesome shot! I love the dark mood, waves and the bombastic sky
I prefer this version. The sky is crisper and more defined giving it just a little more drama. Regardless, nice work on both.
like this one, yesterdays' too soft
very dramatic!
What a beautiful atmosphere , this is fantastic, thank you.
Very impressive !
Wow ! fantastic shot ! very impressive !
