It's definitely taken through glass of some sort... a window? The trees look too detailed to be miniatures, I think, and the colors seem to be accurate for this time of year. I'm going to assume that you haven't left Europe (because your departure was so brief) but that's as much as I can narrow it down. I'm not very well-traveled, but I'll suggest France or second the Switzerland and Germany comments.

Couldn't the photo been taken from a cable way of some sort? Looks like window reflection down in the right corner. So i guess it might be in a ski-area?

I also thought that it is a photo of an aquarium.
So, I guess you are in Japan, in a magnificent shop where they sell diverse greenish things for aquaria =D
