Those of you who correctly identified yesterday's forest as a German one should pat yourselves on the back (other than the two of you who already knew) :-)
I'm in Wiltingen, near the Luxembourg border, and will be here until Sunday. I'm photographing the Van Volxem Winery, and though most of the work I'm doing for the client will probably remain in colour, I really liked the toned / black and white version of this one.
I'll tell you more about the trip over the next few days, but right now I need to get some sleep as we start shooting again at around 7.30am - which, for me - is just a little bit earlier than I'm used to ;-)

So its not a midget forest, bonsai, shot through glass, or a copy shot from a postcard... its exactly as it first appeared. NOw thats not fair..... not a fish tank?.... you see now your just playing with peoples minds.... ;-)
Very nice shot Dave, your client is lucky to have commisioned you mate. Good luck.. CJ

So they are harvesting grapes in october? I thought it was too cold for that. But maybe I'm just used to the swedish climate. :)

Nice shot. I really like the detail and I think the b/w really helps bring that out. Nicely done.

Yes, the softening of the background works well ...well it does for me. I reckon a touch of sepia would add that extra ingedient ... basically because the image is pretty well timeless. Guess you'll be well stocked up with red wine for Chrimble. richard.

Interesting depth of field. Were they picking on a slope below you? That has visibly all but disappeared, but adds an interesting feel to the image. A pleasing scene - I would like to see the Autumnal colours though. Any comment on last years finished product?

Very nice photo-journalistic shot. I like the composition, but first of all the very natural feeling of the whole scene.
