This is probably the last shot from Kate and Thomas's wedding that I'll be putting up and was taken not long after the ceremony, just before they were whisked off to the reception.

Wow - that's very nice. Took me a second or two to work out it must be the car's roof and you'd put them there no purpose for the shot... Impressive!

Dave see this is exactly the kind of shot I have been looking for lately. The serious depth of field with a sudden twist to it. You begin to wonder, hmm did you really put the glasses there on purpose or what? :) Funny the one thing I am enjoying the most is the reflection of the driver next to the glass on the left. It's interesting at how it is reflecting as compared to the straight glass reflections. Excellent shot. Hope you are well!

owen/ninu: I didn't set this up. When we came out after the ceremony the driver had already placed the glasses on the roof of the car. I took four shots, of which this was the only one that worked.
Most of the shots I took during the day were fairly standard shots of the bride and groom, guests, aspects of the ceremony, and so on – and I'm happy with how they turned out – but I'm always on the lookout for a different way to interpret what's going on.

i'm having trouble understanding why the driver would put the glasses on top of the car. some sort of tradition? XD
nice shot, though.

I think that this is a superb shot; mainly because I tried something similar whilst on holiday. I had two flutes containing Cava on a balcony rail but unfortunately focused on a beach scene, which threw the glasses OOF. After the photo being critiqued, I realise that I should have focused on the glasses as you did.
Your flutes just jump off the page and the bride and groom look so happy. Wonderful, and no finger marks on the glasses either, they just gleam.

Nice crisp shot! Love the way you use DoF :)
The concept is the same. The different is you have executed it to perfection while I have got very average results.
Very Clean... The sharpness is perfect. This has a good stock quality to it.
yeah I'll be stealing this one. Ha. Seriously though, this is really great dave.
If any picture tells a story, this one does. Masterpiece.
Nice shot. The focus allows only for a suggestion of what's going on (even though it's reasonably obvious).
