It was a beautiful day today and my only regrets are a) I only had an hour to take photographs, and b) I only managed to get two shots that I'm happy with. This is the first, and may be my favourite of the two – I can't decide.
The post-production involved seven masked Curves layers (five for contrast, one for tone, and one for a reverse vignette), one Hue/Saturation layer (to boost the yellows), and four masked Selective Color layers (to shift the hue of the blues, cyans and whites in certain areas of the image).

I appreciate I've said it before but I do envy your proximity to this treasure trove of an area you live, (although I may be over there Monday) as for this, I love the framing and the composition and the processing enhances it beautifully....

Gorgeous. The water is so reflective. Still and wavy at the same time, strange, but interesting. :)

Dave, I too only got 2 shots and 1 hours peace today, so I think we did ok all in all. I'm loving hte fact you can still hold the frame after 10 layers, without noticeable noise, or colour degradation.... excellent. I also mirror the comments about the treasure trove you have up there on the NW coast... it was grey and miserable down south today.... csj

Nice one Dave, I must admit I'm wondering if you really needed to do it in 7 masked curves....but then again I don't know how much you've gone into this one.
Happy Xmas holidays

I like the difference in the smooth water on the left of the pier and the rougher water on the right side. Great clouds too. Wonderful shot.
