I would guess that for those of you who live on parts of the globe that have a ‘proper’ winter a bit of snow isn't an especially big deal, but here ;– on the north-west coast of England – it's decidedly rare. So, when it snowed today, we took the kids to Beacon Fell (which is about 20 miles east of Blackpool).
I did get one decent photograph, which I'll post tomorrow, but this sequence made me smile, not least because it isn't often that Harmony gets the better of her older sister, Rhowan.

The last giggle tells the whole story! Precious sequence...made me smile, too. In the South, over here on the other side of the Big Pond, snow is also a rarity. The kids are out in droves with boots, sleds, and mittens when the first snowflake falls. What I really like here are the pink boots--it's fun to watch them reoccur on your blog.

Haha. Great sequence. We don't get very much snow here either. It's been several years since I've been able to play in the snow. I sure miss it.

Nice sequence. I like shots such as these, story telling shots. You know you may have started something by naming them this way, I know I wouldn't be happy being 1-0 down :D

Nice composition ....
Oh, the weather outside is frightful,
But the fire is so delightful,
And since we've no place to go,
Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!

A great little sequence of shots. Photo shots of snow are a rare treat over here on the North East coast too, although I was lucky enough to be up in The Lakes the past few days and experienced some great sights. As soon as I saw these images I recognised the place immediately, as a child we would spend ages in those hills and forests picking blackberries and windberries, ahh them wer't days.
Anyway, great shot and congrats on the photobloggies wins and shortlistings.
Have a happy new year!

I don't think anyone could look at this sequence and not have a big smile on their faces. My fave is the bottom left shot, right after Harmony has successfully sloshed her sis. She's looking at the camera like, uhm "I'm not in trouble right?!?!?"
