This is a shot of Blackpool's Central Pier, taken from roughly half way towards the North Pier. It's a scene I've photographed many times before, but I don't imagine that I'll tire of it any time soon.
Oh, and this is an HDR, constructed from three bracketed exposures.

Wow, very moody image. The crop makes it exciting by emphasizing the long shape of the pier. Nice work David.

Classic Chromasia!

Wonderful colors in this shot, the green tint really sets a very "coastish" scene. Together with those gorgeous clouds - it looks very painterly...

Classic Chromasia indeed. This is as close to perfect as they come - I like it very much. I especially like the placement of the pier vertically, and in from the right side.

Does that building at the end of the pier say "Family Bar"? hehe...

the same dramatic light, clouds, the size of shot.... but each day in Blackpool is different. I really like it.

i like the fact tht even with moving water you have contructed a HDR with 3 RAW files as opposed to one

I looked at that photograph and thought "wow, that guy will never tire of that Pier" and then I read your comment ;-) Love the colours/mood/composition. Is there a little shop selling your images/postcards/calendars... on the pier? If not, why not?! Congratulations on your fantastic award achievement and I am slowly working my way through your fantastic tutorials!!!

After seeing all kinds of hideous HDR images on the Web, it's always a pleasure to come to chromasia and see how it's supposed to be done. Beautiful image; love the muted colors.

That pic makes me think of the time i discovered your work 2 years ago.
It's really one of the best you made lately.
(i'm sorry for being such straightforward, but i fought i had to let you know that i care a lot about the pictures you post and the way we feel about them... )

The clouds are amazing, if you stare long enough they appear to move.

Great light in the sky, and perfect soft colors in this one... I think it's a good choice to process this one in HDR!
Absolutely beautiful Dave. The tones really work here. I love it.
