This is the second of the two shots I mentioned yesterday, the one I prefer. Let me know which you like best, though as Libby is hardly ever wrong I suspect it may well be yesterday's ;-)

In terms of post-processing: this was adjusted using two Curves in LAB Color mode, one for contrast and one for colour (using the same settings as for yesterday's shot).

Todas las de esta serie tienen una " belleza simple " que me gusta bastante. Saludos

I like the..layout, I suppose, and water better in this one, but there are a few things in the other photo that make me like the first one better.

Bows to Libby. Yesterday's had more energy; the action was focused on what might be being discussed and the action was moving across the frame; and the crop helped confine the focus (just the opposite of my usual preference). Love the processing that worked well for both.

Well Dave (and Libby),

As a wedding shooter, I can see why she likes the first better. The silhouette in today's image aren't as good as the other in my ever so humble opinion. I think the post work is fantastic in both, and the crops are good for each as well.

But like I said earlier, these are some of my all time favs.

yesterday's seems to tell a bit more of a "story". and i agree with El jefe.

Yep, I am with Libby and all of the above on this one.

I think yesterday's has the more pleasing composition

I think this is no contest, the second one is the better one, by far

This is the better offering...

Honestly I do prefer this one :) Excellent shot!

I prefer this one too. It makes me want to be in a place like that. I love the scale. I saw the world like your sky when I was a child. The color is wonderful.

i find yesterday's better, today's has hardly any detail, the empty portion takes too much space

You are awesome.

Guess took you quite some skill to come out with such a picture.

comment by Robert Mourik at 10:33 AM (GMT) on 23 January, 2008

This time I am with you Dave. I prefer the second picture too. Graphically I find it stronger.

Men walking on the water... fantastic. I prefer this one.

I like this. Did you increase the blue tone to give that blue halo round the people?

comment by Tom K. at 06:51 AM (GMT) on 24 January, 2008

Legend worthy.

A very simple, but yet very powerful composition, it really captures the moody of the situation!
