As I'm putting up three shots from the Heat the Streets event that took place in Blackpool last night, and as tomorrow's will be called heat the streets #3, I guess this one should have been number two of the series, but I couldn't resist a different title for this one ;-)

My goodness! What a sight to behold! I had thought I had the wrong website at first glance. Not exactly a pretty sight but, nonetheless, a fascinating photo. This is hysterical...and a really good capture to boot. I'm amazed at the clarity, considering the lighting situation. It made me laugh...and it made me look back at it several times. As they say in the South (Tennessee, USA)... What a hoot!
Great shot, but I seriously don't know whats scarier, the backside, or the fire!.... I assume naked cyclists jumping through fire happens every other week in Blackpool!!! csj

woa. Actually this is really cool... hero/cyclist going through portal/gates of hell to save the universe... perfectly believable... well... until you see the thong... then...it's just *shudder*...Marvelous picture, tho'!! I love the fire and the composition... I just wish he had pants on... really.

Thank God he at least put his socks on! Amazing shot, but would it have killed him to put some clothes on. Hurts my eyes.

You could have called it 'The Ring of Fire'. Beautifully exposed (no pun intended).

Wow... I don't know what's more impressive, the way you've captured the flames, of the guy jumping through them. Nice shot!

See, the problem is not that Dave attends these ridiculous events... or that he photographs them... it's that he posts these as "photographs of fine art" ;) And then people deem them as "fantastic shots" .. I wish we could go back to 2004 when the [photoblog] world was a tiny bit more intelligent and those comments were saved for, well, better photos...

Craig: yes, pretty much every other week ;-)
Miklos: who are you quoting when you say "photographs of fine art"? Anyway, leaving aside that what you actually meant was "fine art photographs" - this is a near-naked guy on a bicycle, not the Mona Lisa - you seem to be forgetting that this is a photoblog; i.e. a near daily thing, with photographs. Sure, we describe the company as a "fine arts and commercial photographic" company, but that doesn't mean that stuff I blog should only be fine art or commercial. Clearly, as most everyone else has managed to recognise, this one is a bit of fun. You know, ha ha, smile, that sort of thing ;-)

I'd rather collect Asda's trolleys and return them to the trolley park than do what he is doing ...what a nutter. Well it kept you warm Dave. richard
