I do have a couple more shots of the DIFC that I'll be putting up over the weekend, but this one is the last of the HDR's (the final two were shot at night, and while I did blend the exposures, they're not true HDR images).
As with the previous ones I've put up, this was constructed with Photomatix Pro from a seven shot sequence (-3 to +3 EV). Unlike the others though, I've gone for a slightly less dramatic look with this one, and may include it in my next tutorial.
Is it really always this deserted in Dubai - or were you just up very early?
I like the subtle HDR effect in this and look forward to seeing it in the next tutorial. Although I've used Photomatix Pro quite a bit, I have trouble getting consistent results that I like; it's all very hit and miss for me at the moment.
Oh yes, this works really well in colour and a nice large print would look stunning in a contemporary home. Will you be exhibiting at the Gallery in Dubai?
Hey Dave, I have a question, I hope it's not silly, but I don't see any people in your pics from Dubai. Are you shooting early am or late at night when nobody is around? Or is this area closed certain times of day? Or do you clone them out? I've liked the HDRs over the last several days - nice work.

Very nice Dave! Would love to have this in a tutorial of yours. Keep up the great work! Dubai looks amazing, hopefully I'll make it out there some year.

Although nothing special about the lighting but I like it. Has something very positive and happy about it
Just amazed by all the lines and in different angles.

I took your course last year in Dubai (the one about processing lanscape shots) and I have been checking your website ever since. This shot looks great (as usual!) and in my opinion Emirates Towers are some of the most photogenic buildings in Dubai. If you've got the time check out a couple of HDR that I've posted on my blog.

As always, let me know what you think.

Wow, lots going on in this photo. My favorite so far though of the Gate series.
damn dave, thats superb. Just wondering how level that little spirit level was when you took this. Great series mate.
You are now officially a photography hero.

Perfect framing of the two buildings in the background, and I just love all the reflections in the glass!
Good work with dynamic range!
beutifull scene, great job !!
Wow, real cool shot. Good work on the HDR processing, not too much. The symmetry en reflection work really well in this shot.
Awesome composition. The framing of this one is excellent!

Thanks all.
Roy and Rob: it was taken at the weekend, and because this is a financial building it doesn't get a great deal of traffic when the offices are empty.
paul: it was pretty level, but there was a bit of correcting done in Photoshop.
jkm: hopefully some of the material I shot will end up in the gallery - fingers crossed :-)
Catalin: good to hear from you, and I will check out your blog.
