My apologies for not posting this week but I've been working away since Tuesday, and when I wasn't working I was enjoying some great hospitality. I'll tell you where I've been in a day or so, but in the meanwhile I'd be interested to hear if anyone can guess. I've got some shots that give it away instantly, but I'll post a few less easily recognisable ones first :-)

Guillermo: I had hoped that this one would be a bit difficult to place :-)

I like this shot Dave, but a question jumps to mind. Was having the fountain covering one of the subjects intentional? In other words, could you have swung left, while still capturing the fountain and having a clearer view of your subjects? In my view, the fountain competes or interrupts the viewer's focus on the true subjects.
I do like this shot though. I like how the subjects are separated from the background through lens focus. And I like the subjects' expressions--one animated and expressing herself, and the other reflexive and seemingly unsure.
I like this a lot. Stopping for a quick, seemingly intese chat. I also like the overlap of fountain. It integrates all the components and adds depth. Plus, how many angle choices do you get in shots like these? The fabric bands add a lot of interest as well. Nice.

Lovely shot. I'm not usually a fan of 'stand off' shots, but this one's a winner.

Everything is working here beginning with the location. Beautiful. The composition uses it and the intense conversation to good advantage.

as usual, your portraits are so natural in terms of the demeanor of your subjects, and so nicely balanced thematically. interesting contrast- one hand fisted, the other open yet both just about on the same plane. :)

Lovely shot, was there a tripod used here? 1/15s wow!
The best thing about Squires Gate airport are the Ryanair flights to Girona. I love Barcelona you must see the Miro Gallery, have a good holiday...

happy to see you posting something different:)
erm... is it Spain?! Love the shot btw.
My vote is for Spain too... What PP treatment did you give this? Seems like blue tones were added...
That's Sant Felip Neri square, in Barcelona, my hometown! :)
Nice shot. I love how you captured their conversation.

Great obseravtional shot. I like the fact that it doesn't look too obviously processed — suits the style of shot
