While I didn't manage to post an image a day during 2008, in fact I didn't even get close this year (228 images, excluding this one), it was an otherwise excellent year.
On a personal note, all our kids are doing well, and while Libby and I need far more sleep than we ever seem to get, we're both happy and well.
In terms of the business: I've already mentioned a lot of the things we'll be doing next year, but 2008 was a good year for us too. The tutorials* are doing well, I travelled to Barcelona, Dubai, and Bulgaria, and I had a number of interesting commissions. I didn't find enough time to blog, but I'm happy with the shots I did post and hope to find the time to post more regularly in 2009.
Thanks to all of you who voted for me in 2008, it's very much appreciated, and congratulations to all the other winners. If you haven't checked out their sites before, now's your chance:
Be sure to check out the other finalists in each category too.
Anyway, I guess that's about it for 2008, so Happy New Year and I'll see you in 2009 :)

I enjoyed following you through another year. Happy New Year David.
In this montage there seem to be a lot of pink tones from this past year for you. I think the women are ruling your life! More blues for 2009!

Fantastic news about winning and all the best to you and your family for the New year. My particular favourites where the photos of the ship overturned in fleetwood.
This was my favourite: http://www.chromasia.com/iblog/archives/0802081749.php.
Here's to another great year in the Nightingale household.

Well done Dave!!!!, Chromasia still yielded some tasty fruits in 08, enough to WIN most popular, and that is just a testiment to the effort recognised by your viewers, for making your site engaging, and providing us with inspiration, and food for thought. 08 was a wierd year for ID7, but i'm hoping for a more photographically abundant 09 inspired by Chromasia..... keep 'em coming. Well done David for being a runner up this year.
I have to say though, looking through a number of the blogs that won I have to say that for me there are a really high number of pictures that seem to be of lower quality vs the wonderfully polished pictures we're all used to seeing on your site. And I bet most of the others done run the tutorials either...

Great assimilation of images for a recap of 2008...
Question: do you use software to create this collage? If so, what do you use and what is your technique?

Thanks to all of you who voted for me in 2008, it's very much appreciated, and congratulations to all the other winners. If you haven't checked out their sites before, now's your chance:
