It would be fair to say that I don't like this anywhere near as much as the last one I posted, but I am reasonably pleased with it (and don't have anything else to post).
Fortunately though my good friend Craig is coming up on Friday, and we're going to spend most of the weekend out shooting. I'm really looking forward to it, not least because it's been ages since I went out shooting with anyone else. Also, we're going to visit a couple of places I haven't visited before, so I should be able to get at least one or two interesting shots :)

Ooh we'll look forward to that, have you ever thought about photographing the giant glass 'display' at the Ditchfield glass place near to Windy Harbour, this looks fantastic when lit up at night, and we were wondering what delights you could do with it! :-)

There you have so a beautiful good camera and to make in each case this cold unnatural advertising photography?!

I like this one Dave. The contrasting shadows and light are very interesting. By the time you unravel the rope it may be too late for a rescue!

This looks forlorn, forgotten and the light given by the (low?) sun is really nice. Like it but not quite as much as the previous one.
I hope you and CJ have a good weekends shooting, I look forward to seeing what you both come up with. Last time produced some fantastic shots, I know, there's one hanging on my wall here ;O)

Needless to say? I prefer this picture much more than the post immediately previous to it. I love the geometry and processing of this image. Very nice shot.

Agree with Jarrard, I like this more than the one before...I bet it would look great printed huge. I also like Craig's work a lot - very diverse. Have fun shooting this weekend, you're right, it is good to go out shooting with other people...I'll add that to the new year's resolution list!

I think it's hard to compare this and the previous shot. Two different styles and themes. I like them both. The tones in this one really underline the gloomy theme of the lifesaver. Looking forward to seeing your new material from your photowalk with craig :-)

I'm not going to say anything technical about this photo; I don't have the expertise. I just want to say that I like it. It's a good strong, honest image that pleases my eye.

Since Craig was coming and you were gonna be out shooting, I was expecting some material over the weekend... Anyway, a good picture this one, very nice tone and great side sun light, gives the picture more depth.
I am still fascinated by the textures you get out of your shots.

Thanks everyone.
Tracy: that sounds like a good idea - I'll have to get over there at some point.
Dijay: it's a style that I like, but I do have other styles too. Take a look back through the archive.
Craig: we had a great weekend :)
tim: yes, it's the boating lake - well spotted :)
Sara: no, we just freeze, the same as everyone else :)
Abel: we've had problems with our internet at home, so I couldn't post anything. Also, I didn't really have the time; i.e. shooting by day, drinking wine by night ;)
