One of the sessions I taught at this year's GPP event was a landscape photography course, and one of the shots I suggested to my students was that they shoot from ground-level; i.e. get down as low as possible and shoot whatever they see.

While they were doing this, I photographed them, and although this isn't of one of the students (it's my assistant, Ayham) the pose was fairly typical :)

Hahaha... Well that's an interesting angle! Cool shot!

Both a good idea for your students as well for this shot itself. Superiour processing as usual.

Feet details are simply stunning ! And composition is, as usual, great !

I think that's a great POV :) Probably the best advice I have ever been given is "Get higher, get lower" by my friend csj and I bear that in mind whenever I shoot, it usually throws up something interesting!

You might want to work your assistant less hard next time Dave :-)

Is this person alive?

That's some beach junk ;-) Really cool angle and beautiful processing.

Haha ... good point of view. Must be a funny scenery to see your "students" crawling across th ground. Using a wide angle (10 mm?) would abstract this shot i think ... anyway: very very fine!

What a fun composition!! Of course the color tones and clarity are perfect, but the way you shot the subject is fantastic.

Nice idea; just shows what a difference a new angle can make...

That's a cool viewpoint from what looks like a very hot place.

I'm curious, sand has always been a worry ever since a perfectly good lens got messed up on a beach once. Do you take any special precautions out in Dubai, with all that gritty stuff around?

And all good things have an end!! ;-)

Thanks all.

Roy: the thing I try to avoid is changing lenses on the beach. Other than that though I don't tend to worry about it too much.
