I am normally not a fan of black and white photographs. But this, this photograph David is simply gorgeous. I can almost feel her looking at me. Marvelously shot and processed.

Wow. from the past high-key WHITE images, this inverse in theme is gorgeous. Love that 100mm ! And love that "look" Rhowan is giving you; I've seen it many times from my daughter. In May May's case I call it the "patient toleration" look.

What can I say, then, other than "otra vez. Otro estupendísimo retrato". Cuando uno fotografía seres queridos se nota. Se respira la belleza de otra forma.
She is beautiful, but, how old is she? 20...? :-D
You are on a roll lately. And I would say from this portrait, you are getting "the look". Another wonderful capture. I must say that I really like the files from this camera. May have to get one someday.
Regards,
Dave

I agree wholeheartedly with Johan... another portrait tutorial (chanting here). :)

Wow! An amazing portrait! Maybe I would've liked to see the mouth to be sharp, but it doesn't really matter. Love the green toning and the hard contrasts. Nice!

This stare made me laugh out loud! I've seen that look a million times from my nieces and nephews! Love the photo as always...
Una nitidez sorprendente la de este retrato, tambien me ha llamado mucho la atencion la expresion en su cara y la tonalidad que ha aplicado, como siempre un excelente trabajo.
Saludos.

We try so hard to get a sharp image that I am always terrified to blur it... but after seeing this it makes me want to brave the blur! It look fantabulous as always.
I'm a little concerned that people are viewing the person and not the photograph. A lot of posters are making comments on your daughters and not your photographs and this seems wrong.
As for the photograph, the crop and tone is perfect.
Hi Dave, I have not left a comment on your blog yet, however I consider you to be my mentor as my only 3 photography lessons were with you in Dubai earlier this year and they inspired me to start my own. There is no doubt you are the best in the business. This portrait is simply perfection. AMAZING...!
What can I say, other than here's another portrait of Rhowan :)

Lovely soft shot of her.. the mood and colours work wonderfully well with her expression and soft flowing hair. Nice work Dave.

David, another flawless portrait, truly amazing. What a treatment there, care to share a bit of the post-processing on this one?
Cheers
Just incredible. I'm so tempted to try your stuff, but I'm a dedicated Lightroomer and I just don't want to PS anymore!
Perfect.
Great image love the tone. great spot on Kelbys blog too well worth the read.
Wonderful - great to see a portrait spell ;o)
David,
absolutely fantastic treatment for a gorgeous subject. Great mood in here too.
Thanks everyone :)

Very striking image. I like the monotone over the original version. Btu the sharp focus on just her eyes makes for a very striking portrait.
