Libby and Tegan got back to Bulgaria last Thursday and we're starting to settle into a new routine. Unfortunately it's a routine that hasn't included a great deal of photography quite just yet, but I did take some shots over the weekend. Of all the ones I took I think that this is probably one of my favourites, though I'd be hard-pressed to tell you why. Anyway, watch this space, and I'll post more images of our latest family member at some point soon.

very nice scene. Probably it's your favourite because of the "nurse"-jacket your daughter is wearing ^^

Really nice moment captured. Rhowan looks a bit thoughtful but proud. My best wishes to you all!

A really nice capture David, as said above the nurse costume worn by Rhowan really works well in this context too.

Beautifully framed shot. Rhowan looks so grown up now in comparison to Tegan. Hope all is going well

Wow. Just wow! This is a fantastic capture. Timeless. Without a doubt one of the best on this site - and I've probably seen them all. It's nothing short of perfect - the framing, the expressions, the composition - and of course the post processing.

Looks like she is taking good care of him. Perfect framing

It's a favorite of mine becasue of the yawn and the resulting "crinkle-ly" brow. I can see that she is receiving excellent care.

Wait. Rhowan is 8? When did *that* happen? :-) I'm so out of touch and behind, I'll have to remedy that soon.
Congrats to you and Libby and the family on the new cutie!

This image elicited a very long 'aww!' from me; love it! My aunt and uncle just had their first baby two weeks ago. They live on the other side of the country so I haven't had a chance to meet the baby yet, but judging from the pictures I'd have to say little Tegan here is just as cute as my baby cousin Lucy ;) Congrats once more!

I came back to this image and thought about what you said:
"this is probably one of my favourites, though I'd be hard-pressed to tell you why"
Other than the cute babsters....the reason, I think this works, is because, your eyes look either top left or bottom right....my eyes looked at the yawn first, moved to the held finger then to your eldest.....who then made me follow her line of sight back to the baby...you also start noticing the details like the "Nurse" badge. Technically, it's clean and the fact there is no colour to distract, makes it easier on the eyes....and the natural light that falls on the faces is lovely.
In fact the eyes, move around the picture, yawn, finger held, eldest's face back to yawn. Nice little triangle.
The old masters would be proud of you! :)
