Here's my first shot for 2010, taken back in November when I was in Dubai – a shot of an old bicycle down at the Souk. In this instance the post-processing was reasonably straightforward other than that I combined two similar shots of the same subject to construct the final image: one for the main detail, and another to lighten and add texture to the background. If you're interested, both shots are here:

And beyond that I don't have too much else to say today other than Happy New Year :)

Really fine, seems that chromatic abberation is a art element - good creative work!

A happy new year to you and your family! I really like this shot to start a new year in photography...

I really like the processing David, end result looks like a cross processed pic.

Happy New Year Dave. As always, a very intersting capture. I usually study your images before reading your descriptions, and I was surprised to learn that this was a bicycle. This is a comment on your thoughtful eye finding art in a bicycle and not a criticism. Very nice!

David, I thought you were going to start trying to avoid giving the images a name/caption? At the rate you take shots you are going to run out of titles before long!!

Happy New Year and all that to you and yours

I dig your work, as always. This photo has sort of an old advertisement feel to it. Hard to explain.. Feel free to check out http://fotografiker.se/ - I'm planning a revisit to posting photos in the coming week.

I almost mistook this as a brass instrument at first glance - It kinda exudes a jazzy mood. I like jazz. Cool shot...

toujours des photos qui me touchent par l'harmonie qui s'en dégage!

I love this one, the colours are great. Any chance of seeing this as a mini PSD?
