This is the last of the shots that I'll be posting from my recent trip to the UK, and beyond that I don't have too much to say about this one – it was just something that caught my eye as I wandered around Fleetwood.
On a totally different matter: we had a big storm last night, which took out our internet connection, and I can't seem to get hold of our ISP. As such I'm posting this from a friends house, but then probably won't be online for the rest of the day. Hopefully they'll get it sorted out, but I have a horrible suspicion that it's our router that's fried, so will need to go and get another one if that is the case. Anyway, I guess we'll be back online at some point.

Looks great. I think there are always some interesting tatoo artists window displays. If anything I think the top of the shot could have been as sharp as the bottom of the shot as I find that a little distracting.

Wow! Now there's a sign that says, "Hey! Come on in, and, bring the kids too!" :)
Thanks for posting the original.

Hey Dave,
This is a really fun one. Love the contrast and detail you brought out in the final. Home monitor might be better again but from here it looks like the handle of the knife had to be the sacrifice (ironic in more than one way (season)) to get all the contrast to work out. And wow, those reds are vibrant. I think my favorite part was the way you used the window reflexion to bring out more mood in the image. Sort of a blue smoke clearing to reveal the image. Aids in framing too. The angle of light also adds that last pop element for me and makes the image become three dimensional.
I'm kind of surprised the tattoo folk didn't include some examples of their lettering skill on that ribbon over or under the skull. As such, I think it's screaming for a chromasia logo or insignia with barbed lettering. Maybe just a simple "djn1" over the skull. Yeah.
Hope the tech hardware issues don't break the bank. Have a good weekend.

Nicely done, I think this would have caught my eye as well. Do you wish the neon lights were on? The lights could have added some extra drama to the image, I could be wrong. I like it either way. I hope you get the internet back soon. It is amazing how dependent we have become on the internet. Last year, I lost my connection for 2 weeks because my ISP didn't want to do their job correctly. Two weeks felt like an eternity.
